Any news?

Im worried about the Dufferin and Lawrence area. I know that there are many plans for re-zoning all kinds of properties, but the Suburban nature of the area will be hard to change. To be honest, I see a Yonge and Sheppard future at Dufferin and Lawrence which I would argue is not that great.

The 1233 St Clair Ave W site (Via Italia @ SCW) had a hearing March 31st for the Shoppers Development. Apparently all the variances were approved at the C of A. So, apparently now the Site Plan for the Shoppers needs to be approved and thats it. How long does it take to approve a Site Plan? 6...

So what are the latest details here? What retail is going in the main floor? The site is huge (I pass by it frequently). Dufferin is going to be way different soon. I'm not sure if it's a real positive though. So much traffic.

So, apparently the hearing yesterday for this site did happen. The variances were approved and now just the site plan needs to be approved. The city was supportive. How long do you think it might take to get a site plan done? When do you think we could break ground here?

Urbancorp knocked down the old Hughes Public School just a few weeks ago. Why would they do that when they were so close to the edge? That school was over 100 years old. They still have the debris on site from the demo.

There is a rumour that the Shoppers Drug Mart that is suppose to open up in Corso at Via Italia and SCW is up in the air because apparently Shoppers might move to a medical centre near Oakwood. could this new medical centre at 918-928 St Clair West be the one?

The development at 898-900 St Clair Ave W is a separate development. The new development here being discussed is from Robina-Alberta.

There are a lot of condos going up or being planned for this corridor now. Scoop Condos at 1771 St Clair Ave W is a 3 phase project as they have 492' of frontage across 3x streets.

Are you sure? This area of St Clair Ave West is going through so much change so quickly!

This is a very interesting project. The C of A hearing is March 31st. Rumour has it that we could see construction starting in April or May.

This development is such a game changer for the area. Tas' development a block away will be big as well. I live in Corso Italia (south of St Clair) and am amazing on the people moving into this area.

Apparently Dunpar scrapped the project. I believe though that the project changed hands privately very recently.

The corridor is shaping up to become a destination in the years ahead. Hillcrest in particular has already become one. The right of way streetcar was a blessing in disguise. There are several condo projects in pre construction and currently being built throughout the corridor. Some that come to...

Urbancorp did a bait and switch here. Site is now designated as condos and the work will start soon. Site is being prepped as we speak. Fence already put up.

I heard machines are moving around on site as recently as a few weeks ago. Any updates?
