I don't think it is, or at least not much of it. When the old stump was demolished and the new "plaza" area between BAC1 and proposed BAC2 was constructed, they didn't put in any support columns for BAC2 other than on the west side of BAC2 (east side of the plaza). The parking garage entrance...

Could it be some sort of more easily (re)movable hoarding in connection with and in preparation for the replacement of the sidewalk? I see that the Adelaide Street and Temperance Street sidewalks have been or are being ripped out for replacement.

Yes, on a couple of occasions when it wasn't locked from the inside. Someone once told me that Campeau caused that connection to be constructed so that he could have quick access to the NC for his own purposes, but I don't know if that's true.

I agree completely. No matter whether the building is a spectacle or is colourful or not, it is the people, staff, local residents and tourists, who will bring the area to life and add the vibrancy so presently lacking in the east bayfront. Outside of any TEDCO bashing for not having this be a...

The concrete deck for the 2nd floor and ramp to the third floor was all poured two nights ago. Third floor forming is now being installed and is almost complete on the west and north sides. Logically, they appear to be working in a clockwise fashion in constructuing the forming and then...

    It's still under construction.

Lol! Let's just agree it will be capped at the 62nd (!) floor and move on.

July 2009 is the advertised completion date. I can see the internal "fitting up" going on on many floors. Office partition walls, ceiling tiles and lights are being installed. Last night the ground floor lobby lights were all on and even though the glass walls have paper up behind them, the...

My office's computer filters won't allow me to access gekaroo's pictures, so I don't know how high up he is. I think Psnake is a lot higher than me (remember those shots of the BAC worker on the tip of the crane) and so between the three of us we should be able to get some really good shots.

Here's a shot from a couple of minutes ago. Picture quality sucks a bit because the window glass, against which my hands are braced, is vibrating in and out with the wind . . .

I agree. I think it's the glass panels at the roof line that are ruining it for me. On the early renders they didn't necessarily look so bad, but I don't like them as much now. Maybe there are still adjustments to be made to them to make them fit in with the rest of the buliding. Perhaps...

See yyzer's post 907. Apparently it's 8 levels deep. I don't think I'd relish the thought of parking my car 8 floors below ground.

I hadn't stated that the sliding lanai panels are a bad idea - I had stated that others didn't like them and that I was going to reserve judgment on the project until it was completed. However, I do think the roof-top panels that stick up in the air are inappropriate. They are a finicky touch...

It will be interesting to see if it can match that pace. I believe that this excavation is deeper with more levels of parking.

Read back in this Forum and you'll find many people who have a very different opinion. Some think the sliding panels a sales/marketing ploy to artificially increase the size of units and some think the panels on top are inappropriate. My view is this is the perfect place for a very tall tower...

I've been watching it progress. The put rebar down in the bottom of the Adelaide Street trench over the past week (on top of what looked like rigid blue slabs of insulation) and it looks like they've just finished pouring the floor. When I investigated earlier this week the location of where it...

I do continuously. I stand by my statement. If I'm wrong, I'll buy some of maestro's ice.

Instead of seeing this as bad news for the project, perhaps we should see it as good news, as Ellis-Don is now undertaking some necessary work prior to commencement of drilling and shoring.
