    Cashless Toronto

The outage at Rogers that disabled debit transactions last year is the reason why cash will always be king. I always carry cash on me. These debit systems go down too much in this country. Last week at a Subway the debit was down, cash only. Not sure why any business would go cashless? They...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Yep. I live out in suburban hell, it's only been the last year so the homeless population has expanded into the burbs. I have seen encampments pop up in wooded area's and under overpasses. Where before you would only see homeless people and encampments in the downtown area.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Now a days you need to be rich to visit Vegas. Every restaurant is an overpriced corporate celebrity chef restaurant. And those cheap buffets have been turned into food-halls, which are just expensive food courts.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Yep. Buffets are a thing of the past. Even Vegas casino's are turning buffets into food halls. A decent buffet will run you 50 to 60 bucks per person these days. I remember going to Vegas in 2010, and going to Vegas buffets for $10 to $20!!

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

I think Wendy's is the most underrated fast food establishment. I find the burger combo's are so much more filling than McDonald's , A&W, Harvey's, BK. And the burgers come with just the right amount of veggie toppings ( lettuce, tomato, onions & pickles. I would pick Wendy's over a...

    Toronto Toronto | TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 170.98m | 52s | Lanterra | a—A

I agree it's bad. I have also been going down there since the 80s. Where are all the people? I walked down Yonge on a Saturday night a few weeks back, it was so dead. I remember weekends that street was packed with people, you could hardly move. But there is really nothing to bring...

    Conestoga Guelph Downtown Campus

I worked in Guelph in 2021 for two months. The downtown office workers who worked from home, hurt the local downtown businesses big time. A lot closed down. Conestoga College will be a much needed boost for the downtown stores, restaurants and cafe's.

    LCBO / The Beer Store

Some stores like Walmart, have horrible cheap reusable bags that fall apart after 2-3 uses and have to be thrown away and replaced. Cheap reusable bags are just as bad as plastic bags.

    How to solve homeless issue?

Asylum seekers are taking away beds from the homeless shelters. “We’re running about 9,000 beds per night in the shelter system, and right now about 2,700 of those beds on a nightly basis are being utilized by refugee claimants,” said the head of Toronto’s shelter programming, Gord Tanner...

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

My parents were both around 50 when they paid the house off 20 years ago. The house is now worth 1,9 million as of 2022. Crazy, it was built as a middle class starter home in the 1960s.

    How to solve homeless issue?

I thought homelessness was bad in Toronto, ( which is ) But i was in Vancouver a couple weeks ago, holy crap what a sh*t hole that city has become. It's like every second person downtown was either homeless or on drugs. 10 years ago or so, i would have moved to Vancouver in a heart...

Skyline has bought up a lot of buildings downtown Guelph. It's all going to get re-developed. One of the two brothers that's owns Skyline, lives on the top floor penthouse at the Gummer building on Douglas Street, which i was in. It was pretty sweet.
