GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I think the first image is the view from the bus loop level and the second image is the view from the platform level. Below is a site plan for the adjacent development which shows the location of the station building.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I don't think Metrolinx will implement the schedule you are proposing. In the afternoon peak, the Stouffville Line used to run every 30 mins to Old Elm (See Stepember 2021 schedule before Omicron), and it is unlikely for Metrolinx to reduce service for riders north of Unionville. There is...

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

986 Scarborough Express skips all local stops from Kennedy to Guildwood GO with the exception of the Markham Rd/Eglinton Ave stop and runs every 5-6 mins in the morning peak.

    GTHA Transit Fare Integration

So when exactly will Miway and Burlington Transit have a free transfer with GO Transit?

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The past couple of replies are all talking about GO Transit bus services. Go Transit should really rebrand themselves and not use the phrase "GO". It is too confusing when we say I go to Finch go bus terminal to go to Mississauga by go bus. TTC should also rename their "highway 407 station" on...

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

There are a lot of GO buses that connect with VIVA Blue at Richmond Hill Centre (Yonge & Hwy 7).

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Very few people go down from York Region to Finch to transfer to a GO bus. Hwy 407 go bus is much faster than hwy 401. The reason why the GO bus from hwy 401 terminates at Finch GO Bus terminal is because of people going to North York Centre and getting off between Sheppard and Finch on street.

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Actually, all the GO buses at Finch Terminal come from hwy 401 (except route 32 Brampton Trinity Common/North York which uses hwy 407) so most of them are probably going to stay where they are after the extension opens.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Here is my quick analysis of the 11 options: Option 1: Too many transitions between above-ground and below-ground segments Option 2: It will be very difficult to transition from below to above at the Stouffville Line as there is the hwy 401 and west highland creek Option 3: Ok Option 4: Too...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

The first image is not showing the station box but the length of the platform. If you compare with the actual buildings shown in the 2nd drawing above, the distance between the two dotted lines is indeed 100m. The station box is way more than 100m.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The intersection you mentioned is Edgeley Blvd/Highway 7. They have the transit-only "vertical white bar" because before the section west of it opened, the bus needed to wait for this signal and merge back onto regular traffic. Ever since the whole section is completed they still activate the...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

That is only implemented at a select few intersections where the bus has to turn left or right onto another street. Otherwise, left-turn vehicles still go first.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

From TTC service changes. Don't know if it's a typo of Steeles vs. Passmore, but if it is true, then Metrolinx is really pushing ahead on Passmore Grade Separation on the Stouffville Line. But considering that they also seem to start building the Finch-Kennedy Smart track station to the south I...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

And we also need direct ramps from the HOV lanes. More than often you have to get out of the HOV lanes and stuck in traffic at an interchange (The only exception being highway 404SB to highway 401WB)

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

If your trip does not involve any individual segment with a standard adult Presto fare of below $4.72, then the total fare for the entire trip will be equal in both directions.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Base on my experiences, GO Transit apply fares in the following way: For each transfer you make, you are credited $4.71- $4.72 (which is 15.7% off the $5.60 cash fare). Note that the transfer credit is more than the base fare of $3.70. Therefore, when travelling long distances, the more you...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Those extra trip only appears on Oct 18-21 in the trip planner. Weird. Maybe they are running test trains but mistakenly imported them into the trip planner?
