🤔🤔🤔 December 2024 isn't a firm date. It could open earlier or later based on how testing goes. Contactless Debit/Credit on the TTC was launched about a week early. While Presto in Google Wallet is late (despite it being essentially ready for launch for almost 2 months now). To paraphrase the...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Overall, you were charged correctly. The fare from Milliken to Kennedy is $3.70 on GO. When you take YRT to GO, your trip on YRT is free which is why you were refunded $0.18.

I'd try claiming the service guarantee, you're probably eligible.

The 17:55 train was cancelled, you were on the 17:25 train leaving 35 minutes late. It was technically 8-15 minute peak service depending on how you measure it. Transsee shows the 88c using Highway 115 and Highway 401.

Amex works, but it shows up as TTC Toronto without a location.

tbh, he should have said that the training/commissioning phase is scheduled to take 6 months (assuming nothing goes wrong), and according to the dashboard, we are at least 20% of the way through.

    GTHA Transit Fare Integration

Development for that is happening right now. An account-based system is currently being used for PRESTO in Google Wallet. Physical PRESTO cards should be transferred over to the account-based system as well. Singapore did something similar with their EZ-Link cards last year. But unlike the...

Do GO Fare Zones Really Exist?

According to GO's Twitter Feed, the diversion to Port Credit was already periodically happening in January 2019 when there was heavy traffic congestion. According to the Metrolinx website, fares were adjusted in April 2019 to lower the fare for trips under 10 km to $3.7...

Do GO Fare Zones Really Exist?

The bus from Erindale connects with the train at Port Credit.

S&B stopped making the old readers. They have an expected service life of between 3-4 years. S&B made a new one, but it was more expensive than the Famoco ones (OCTranspo bought it though).

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Both the Famaco new and the S&B (old) TTC bus/streetcar readers have cellular connectivity. It wasn't enabled initially because of cost reasons (the cost per GB of cellular data has halved in 10 years). The S&B readers also had the hardware to support open payments but never got the software to...

Do GO Fare Zones Really Exist?

Busses operating Milton line services aren't going into Toronto directly anymore, they connect with Lakeshore West trains now.

I know it's probably super difficult, but maybe one with all of GO's fare zones :P

That's something for the TTC board. In the back end, it's already set up for weekly capping after 10 trips.

Not sure I've seen a $31 fare to London since the YDS days.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

It's a combination of reasons. The big reason is that around 90% of the code for Presto is written in India. iOS's marketshare in India is less than 5%. The developers have more experience with Android, so it helps speed up development if the Android version is done before iOS. TTC survey...
