Not that this has much to do with Toronto, but Vancouver's aquarium isn't even on the water. Sure, it's on an island, but it isn't that close to the water.

I don't mind comparing cities, but you really can't compare aspects that are closely tied to their history. When people talk about the architecture and buildings of NYC and Chicago, they're usually talking about their older heritage type buildings (or at least that's a big part of it). Rough...

The hoarding was put up a few days ago. Lots of activity going on too.

The new O&B Canteen restaurant has been absolutely packed all week. I ate there today and the service was slow but the food was good.

I've been to the The Counter twice and tried about 4-5 dishes and they've all been great. I've noticed it's been getting a lot busier lately too. Scarpetta didn't dissappoint either. It's actually not too expensive and they have a lot of reasonably priced win.

They're used in the Cityplace complex by the Skydome.

Not really sure where to post this, so hopefully this is fine. I'm wondering if anyone knows who did the public art at the public lot to the south of Skydome (and east of 3 Navy Wharf where St. Louis is). There's a bunch of big billboards with old maps of Toronto on them. Were these put up...

They did some rebranding a week or two ago putting up new signs with "Empire Communities" all over the place which I had never seen mentioned before.

Not to mention unfinished buildings before hundreds of people move in, the park is done, and retail is opened.

Yeah, complex cutting-edge technologies like elevators.

Demolition is now complete and I've been lazy about pictures.

This building is almost at street level.

Demolition began on Friday at the front of the building. I'll probably take some pics on Monday.

The recent hoarding that went up is now covered in graphics so I'm guessing construction should be starting soon?

The podium already feels massive just walking by it. This and MLSE towers definitely have the best podiums right now.
