    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

This would run counter to current seat projections which have the Conservatives winning diverse communities in the GTA like Brampton and Markham. I recall listening to a Canadian political scientist talk about how many immigrant communities rally around the perceived frontrunners, moving...

Hah, thanks. Not to be confused with the veteran Toronto Star photographer.

Any guesses on what the new name of the Science Centre will be? I know the neighbourhood has been coined "Don Mills Crossing" by city planning.

This could be the rare scenario where urbanists and grumpy Annex residents come together in opposition.

    46th Canadian General Election

I suspect quite a few Toronto-area Liberal MPs are reconsidering running again after last night's Conservative victory in Toronto-St. Paul's.

Alexander The Great Parkette Revitalization (Greektown BIA, FFLA)

This is my observation, too. It would also appear that The Danforth has a higher percentage of return-CaféTO permits than other commercial strips.

    Hosting a summer Olympic games

I was going to ask the same for the Rogers Centre. Typically the Olympic Stadium also hosts track events, and I don't think BMO is large enough for a track.

    46th Canadian General Election

My theory is that a lot of prospective leadership candidates are looking 5-10 years down the line. If they were to replace Trudeau immediately, they'd likely be a sacrificial lamb for the next general.

Wow, what a missed opportunity. Dupont and Lansdowne has to be one of the worst intersections for architecture in the city.

    46th Canadian General Election

The Toronto-St. Paul's by-election is today. Rarely does a by-election hold such big implications for the ruling party. A loss, or even a narrow win by the Liberals (they won by 24% in 2011), will put Trudeau in the hot seat.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I feel like we could end up with a "compromised" (watered down) subway plan. Think Sheppard West to Victoria Park, with maybe the Consumers station removed. This would make the "stubway" a bit stubbier. If they were to extend the subway to McCowan or STC, I wonder if one of Consumers or...
