    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

In that case I must have been close to the scheduled sync time since my load showed up at exactly the same time that I tapped onto a bus at Donlands station. I wouldn't think a Presto reader on that bus would process a lot of transactions in a day, or a half day in this case. Whatever the reason...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

This is interesting. I added funds to my Presto card at 12:30 this afternoon using my online account and the funds showed up just two hours later (possibly sooner, but that was when I used the card). Presto is getting better, in my opinion.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I saw both 4424 and 4444 heading westbound on Queen at Jones this afternoon. Both were out of service, went by about ten minutes apart, and each had a few people on board. Training, perhaps?

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

It would be nice if the TTC came up with a simple set of rules for Presto, wouldn't it. I always tap when I get on the 510 streetcar inside Spadina station and it shows as a transfer (i.e. no charge), but I haven't been tapping when I board buses that are waiting in bays at subway...

    TTC: New Fare Gate Installation

They've started on Spadina now. There's a temporary entrance on the side of the main entrance building and everything inside is blocked off by plywood. There is a Presto reader just to the left as you go in the temporary entrance. I didn't check the secondary entrance on the west side of Spadina...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Including when boarding a bus in a subway station? After three months of Presto use there are still some points which I find confusing.

I visited Prreaderseders once, it's a beautiful little town in the Netherlands.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

My ex-wife once told me that I'm a complete f&@king idiot who couldn't change a light bulb if my life depended on it and yet I've been using Presto with no problems for the last two and a half months. It's a new system for TTC users and once you understand the rules it's easy and very...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I've lost track (pardon the pun). With 4444 at Hillcrest does that mean that Bombardier is back on schedule?

I think I saw this label on a Flexity the other day.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Interesting comments! I too was surprised that it registered that last leg of my trip as a transfer (GPS problems would explain the location error). All in all, while three bucks is three bucks I'd rather have a system that works correctly. First, I'd rather pay my fair fare and have the money...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Well, I've had my first free ride courtesy of Presto. I took the subway to Spadina, tapped on the 510 southbound which showed up as a transfer, so far so good. I spent about an hour in the area of Spadina and Dundas and then caught the 510 southbound again. When I got on I tapped and received a...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

True, there may be a technical reason for it. However, I've been thinking that maybe this was done at the request of the TTC so that fare inspection officers have the info ASAP. For example, if the system immediately reported my transfer onto the streetcar then a fare inspection officer at Union...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I agree, the rules have been very poorly communicated not just to the public but to TTC employees. Last week I had a long conversation with a streetcar operator on the 504 line (all the way from Broadview station to Queen St., I think he was just bored. LOL). At one point he said to me that the...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I hate to keep coming back to this but since I bought my Presto card I've been trying to learn the rules of the game. Last week I was at Spadina transferring from the subway to the bus and I asked a TTC employee if I needed to tap onto the 510 streetcar and she said "no" (N.B. I'm not sure what...
