That Then and now will probably be all from me for a while. I want to wait for the weather to get warmer first before I go shoot more. I'm probably going to be staying within my home turf, but we'll see. Theres a lot that I could take from the Toronto Archives which I believe you haven't touched...

What a gross EIFS renovation.. And judging by the demolition boards, the building east of it seems to be demolished quite recently.

I knew there was something up when they integrated the old burnt down mill with the current complex. No wonder I couldn't find it at the time I was on a field trip around Grade 7 iirc.

I wonder what happened to the safe afterwards? Taken off site to a safe location, or the demolition team break it open for its rewards? :D

I remember that area very well. The Church that was on this spot wasn't demolished until 1996 iirc. Now its just a blank space..

I'm pretty sure of the Office Building, as theres a pic of it in one of those books that I read about the TTC. It was being built when the TRC was still in place. - edit2- I did some searching up and it seems that the building that I was talking about WAS ON UNIVERSITY >_>.

Help ID this location - 1970s Downtown East

Hmm If memory serves me correctly, this is where the current Lord Dufferin Public School is (I can remember stuff from 1990) as the school bus I took passed here many a time.

All these photos are just gorgeous. Don't you wish you had a time machine and took each location with a modern camera? =)
