They may at some point, but this was a real article. Papers label advertorials as such, and there's a reporter byline on the story

    Edmonton | Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

And now that I think about it, wasn't the tunnel the only portion of the SE Valley Line that was more-or-less on time and without any major issues? :)

    Downtown

Interesting report going to Executive Committee March 22 outlining uses for the downtown CRL and future opportunities.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Flair estimates its economic impact in Edmonton at $118 million

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

I would happily start with a doubling of bus service to Century Park. The existing service is quite fast but really crippled by the lack of frequency.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Alex is a real pro. Incidentally, because of the runway and road configurations, he was telling me it's surprisingly hard to plane spot at YEG.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Staffing continues to be an issue at a lot of US airlines and Alaska is really focusing on high-yield routes. They are dropping year-round service to Kelowna after about 25 years.

    Car-Free Streets

Although I'm disappointed with the decision, I agree with you. Perhaps it would be easier for council to start with the space in front of the library, which would go a long way to stopping traffic that wants to use the space to speed straight through downtown. Of course, it's not like the LRT...

    Edmonton Oilers

Even though he's a rookie, I got the impression from the last couple of games that they're missing Deharnais out there

    Municipal Politics

I don't know what this says, but the next Urban Planning Committee agenda has exactly ZERO items on it, other than approving the minutes of the previous meeting

It is amazing the lasting influence legacy of the City Centre airport when you look at the skyline along that area. Takes a long time to change

    Car-Free Streets

I do rather object to city staff using the term jaywalking in a report to council.

    Car-Free Streets

The proposal to keep 102 Ave closed for a year trial goes to a council public hearing on Feb. 21. Administration makes it clear off the top they don't support the idea and the report going to council basically sh*ts all over the idea:

    Capital Line LRT

I think you're right (of course, at one point they were at 5 minute frequency, but that was a while back). Looks like they've increased Capital Line frequency, but reduced Metro Line frequency, which was also at 12 minutes in the most recent schedules. Overall, seems better service for stations...

Try this: https://redecoupage-redistribution-2022.ca/ebv/en/?locale=en-ca&prov=ab you can zoom in/out and there are 3 buttons on the top left: Current, proposal, report. The Report boundaries are the ridings going to Parliament.

    Miscellaneous

Yep, the family are wonderful, old stock anglo-Quebeckers from Quebec City. The original store is sill there in old Quebec
