Okay so I took a detour on my lunch run. The flutes are vv pretty. There’s actually three different flute scales going on, and in the sun they take on a lovely amount of depth and texture. The colour of the precast also appears more pinky maroon, at least in the brighter sun. As always, COBE...

i agree it's a confusing name regardless of whether there are no hotel-goers in this hood. what's more problematic is that the signage is far larger than the address for the building. I am constantly asked by lost people near the building where 21 Lawren Harris because they cant find the number...

Some very bold signage for the new bar here is making the bottom of this building very colourful, and quite fun! Very mindful that the decal is in yellow to match the building glass frit. But alas, it is a different shade of yellow..

likely needs to have a final acid wash and they didnt want to delay signage install. technically the brick can be acid-washed with the signage on.

that first image is interesting. some of those buildings they rendered in have already been completed (Harris Square, Canary Commons, Canary Block) and some that are under construction or in application process they chose to omit (28 Eastern, Rekai Centre Cherry Place, Power and Adelaide). An...

seeing those robust columns and thick slab transfers on the first two levels starts to put into perspective why they've been taking forever to form and pour these buildings.

Yea saw the same thing. Very apparent especially in the sun. Test panel? Also, the colour is much more silver than beige

that tower facade now looks a little...bleak. the articulation of the window frames is nice, but not sure the black on black on two towers right next to each other with a tight window-wall ratio is working. they look like stark monoliths

It’s unbearably slow, there’s always one or two guys in there, doing a whole lot of nothing. Where did you get the December date from?

If you had a look in those corridor-like units, you might wish otherwise. The exterior and urban condition is fantastic, but those ground units took me by surprise. Your can’t place any type of furniture without it creating a block to basic circulation. And couple the thin window at one end of...
