Glad there is something planned for this site. The black painted brick and generally ugly ‘back end’ of the buildings was always too prominent on Queen Street. Hope we get a development that fills in the existing holes in the street wall.
The lighting is what people take issue with? I would have guessed it would be the architecturally unsympathetic signs on top that look like an alien face together with the facade openings.
Nice work on the sign, I was particularly excited to see that. Will there be any walkways installed to connect the two silos?
The openings remind me of the windows at OCAD, maybe they can get a similar treatment with a different colour frame around each one. Since they’re the tenant it could be...
They should leave this empty lot at the corner as a park. It's the best view point of this complex, but apparently they want to put a glass highrise here.
Would be even better if they seamlessly connected it to the Police Memorial Park through the arcade.
Yes between the glass cube at the corner that I can't discern the purpose, the way the brick faces are split instead of wrapping around the entire corner like a normal building, and the chunky silver window frames, it looks 30 years old already.
