^ yeah, and 101 street downtown is probably out closest thing to having an urban canyon. More so, when the former BMO site becomes developed.

I remember reading that somewhere on the web, but can't recall exactly. But in the disclosure documents they sent me a long time ago, it does say: "23. Translucent etched glass channel (back-lit at night)". The 23 referred to the very top of the tower.

That lighting intrigues me... but I have no idea what to make of it. Don't even know if it has anything to do with their LED lighting plans. Maybe somebody else knows...

Yeah, I see Stantec, Encore, and Edmonton Tower all into one. I love the massing though, so obvious thumbs up for me. The density in the area is going to be amazing from the ground, and from afar.

^ No kidding. I'm glad the 102 street - 102 ave stop is finally taking shape. They are putting in rebar for the track portion the last few days. That section was a field of dirt the entire summer last year.

I live in the building at the top of the picture, and my apartment has been shaking every day since they started work right in front ?. I can feel my desk vibrating as I type this. Construction alarm clock also wakes me up every weekday at 8am.

^ yes, that tent finally gone was great. Make's it easier now to imagine how 102 ave will look once complete. It's going to be fun this summer to watch this avenue completely transform.

Notice the same going eastbound on 104. Based on perspective, Encore appears to be the third tallest tower downtown along side Stantec and JW Marriot.

If I recall correctly, the Whyte ave station was initially a block north, in the parking lot beside the farmers market. Glad they have the station now directly on Whyte (better visibility and feels more connected imo)
