    Edmonton | Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

Heh, I made this map a long time ago... since then, I've fallen more in love with the idea of a high-floor extension of the Metro Line down Whyte Ave to Capilano and Sherwood Park. But this is the ideal low-floor alternative for the Energy Line in my view.

Made a map for where to close the roads to extend the stations. https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/1/edit?mid=1Mb5JOO_qDuiPGJTzEJw41kJr3i6jdLJG&usp=sharing

Honestly, if push comes to shove (quite literally, when we talk about capacity), I think we’ll have to bite the bullet and close some of the lesser used cross-streets in downtown to extend the platforms so they can accommodate 3-car trains (that would make the Valley Line Trains 120 meters long...

    Edmonton | Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

I think as someone mentioned earlier, the glazed balconies are a big part of the building’s aesthetic. So I’ll wait till those are installed before judging.

Obviously, just look for the hottest people there. But for real, just find an attractive man in a grey/white jacket.

What countries have you travelled to?

At 21, I am even less travelled than you 😅 peep the list (only highlighting cities) Canada: Alberta (I live here, duh), Saskatchewan (Saskatoon), BC (Vancouver), Ontario (Toronto and Ottawa) US: Seattle, Buffalo (was there for an hour so doesn't count) India (Hyderabad) Singapore (a few times...

Down the hill from the 98th Ave traffic circle is my favourite vista in the whole city. Really any view from the east side (driving down Baseline Road, the city looks gorgeous)

EllisDon to Lead Prairie Link High-Speed Rail Partners - Edm-RD-Cal

It’s the right approach then. High-speed rail will be quite successful with regional rail in Greater Edmonton and Calgary, on top of the successful LRT systems we have here.

    Beaumont Real Estate

It’s not as easy to get to from Edmonton versus the other bedroom communities. I had to drive down there from the university area once and my options were Calgary Trail (from which I’d have to take a dangerous 2-lane highway to reach the town) or 50th Street (which will still have tons of...

    Edmonton | Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

91st Street was built to be upgraded to a freeway in a very wide ROW (still should be imo) so stops along it don’t make much sense. Great for an express shuttle though

    Edmonton | Blatchford Development | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

Best we’ll get is a park n ride in Refinery Row.

Guys, answer the poll in the thread I made for the Skyrise Meetup on opening day! We can iron out the details of the meetup there (particularly which end of the line we're starting at) Skyrise Valley Line Meetup

Skyrise Edmonton Valley Line Inauguration Meetup

So the Valley Line shall open up to passengers on Saturday, November 4, 2023. In the words of Tim Cartmell, "Hallelujah!" That being said, we should have another Skyrise meetup for the inaugural ride, and I would love to coordinate this with people from the Global Transit and Infrastructure...

    Municipal Politics

Heh, I remember being a strong supporter of Cheryll Watson right until she said she'd cancel the West LRT. Really, any candidate who opposed the LRT expansions we've got in place automatically lost my vote. That was a linchpin issue for me in that election.

    Edmonton Companies News & Discussion

Looks like 48Hour is making it big. I remember sitting in organic chemistry lectures taught by the founder of that company. Good ol' Ratmir Derda.
