I don't agree, overall I would say feedback regarding the base has been positive.

You've been predicting it to look like shit at every stage. The base and precast component look fine. The tower glass is a definitely disappointing.

Blah to the tower windows: Base looks great though:

Sorry for the crappy quality but the tower windows are in. You can just barely see them above the precast in the picture below. Looks average.

Yeah you are right, the sky lounge is the only box without a balcony. For the other three, the render only shows one balcony per box versus two which was built. I agree with you, I prefer the one balcony or no balcony look.

I think the boxes, aside from oddly placed vents, look like the renders. The window frames are also not black in the render. The tower windows seem identical to what was used on INDX - which is unfortunate. I don't foresee this turning out well.

Great photos @skycandy. You can see the grey tower glass at the corner of the building (just above the first box) in your second last photo.

Looks awesome! that's someone's unit though, the sky lounge is on the 46th.

Yeah, you're right, most condos in Markham have podiums like this. I get your point though, the beige precast resembles other suburban condos. However, the podium, glass quality and top 30 floors definitely do not.

Taken today. Looks even worse in person.

And if that's the worst of it consider me impressed! To be fair, the most recent video does show them as being heavier than what was first depicted in the original renderings. Personally I'm more concerned about how the window wall above will turn out. I'm guessing average.

Looks like the artist and location of the art installation have been selected. http://www.balmondstudio.com/work/spectrum/
