Looks to me like it would be right at home with this development in Markham, Fontana... Again, I'm not saying it's a bad thing.

Yeah, you're right, most condos in Markham have podiums like this.

I get your point though, the beige precast resembles other suburban condos. However, the podium, glass quality and top 30 floors definitely do not.

If that is the glass they used, and what they have on the smaller windows, the lower West side, the front portion etc., then I have a feeling this will end up even better then its rendering. Loving the tint/Color of the newest section on the cube corner thing. (Thanks for the picture updates again to all)
 
I really like the profile of 1 king west but it bothers me a lot how little contrast in tone there is in the materials. I wish the glass top or even just the mullions contrasted the lower part of the tower more.

I hope the same thing doesn't happen here. But I'm optimistic.
