I believe penthouses are launching soon, in the Fall.

    Options Upgrades (caution: scary stories)

Money vs. hassle is all relative. I'd want to know how much I was saving versus the time/hassle of tarping my whole place after I'd moved in and dealing with the mess (which I'm told is substantial). That said, if it saved me $1,000, I would have strongly considered it.

    Laser Eye Surgery

Bochner on Prince Arthur Avenue is in the top two, along with Herzig (sp?). They're the only two my optometrist recommended I go to. I'm getting my eyes zapped next month and I can't wait to wake up and see the world clearly (literally AND figuratively ;) )

Liberty On The Park (Liberty Village, CanAlfa, 15s)

That's the crane for Monarch's Vibe.

    Options Upgrades (caution: scary stories)

It is indeed high but, unfortunately, standard. I paid close to $2,000 to smooth out the ceilings in my entire 2-bedroom unit. The reason they say it's so pricey is because it takes a LOT longer for the construction crew/workers to smooth out that concrete ceiling perfectly than it would to just...

    Liberty Village Towers/Bliss (CanAlfa, 24 + 20s, IBI-HB)

Ah, this is an interesting detail. I know the tracks north of BP are the Milton corridor for GO. I think also the other corridor (Bramalea?) as well. Not too busy is good. And no freight trains? Bonus. B_Bear, I'm assuming you're in BP. Do you face south or north? How high up? Do you hear much...

Used condo prices over the next few years

Really? Thousands of employees are being let go and we're not hearing about it down here, huh? Funny - several friends and relatives work in big banks just around the corner from me on Bay. No one terminated yet. In fact, two I know have just been bumped up from contract to full-time. Sure...

    Liberty Village Towers/Bliss (CanAlfa, 24 + 20s, IBI-HB)

I'll soon be living in this neighborhood and I've been watching the Liberty Towers fiasco slowly, painfully unfold like a train wreck in slow motion. I know people who have bought in it and people who have bailed. I really hope it does get built, both for the poor folks who have been waiting for...

    Liberty Village Towers/Bliss (CanAlfa, 24 + 20s, IBI-HB)

So, b_bear, what I think I'm teasing out of your comment is... construction hasn't started...?

    Zip begins to occupy mid-November.

Any sign of construction actually starting?

Zip & Vibe at Liberty Village (Monarch, 2x 24s, G+C) COMPLETE

I agree. Big improvement over Battery Park. I'm glad the tower doesn't have any of that pre-cast.

Zip & Vibe at Liberty Village (Monarch, 2x 24s, G+C) COMPLETE

I wonder if it will be complete and occupancy starting before Liberty Towers ever gets a crane...

    Liberty Village Towers/Bliss (CanAlfa, 24 + 20s, IBI-HB)

Oh, that's right. Can't believe I'd forgotten the townhomes. Duh. Has CanAlfa compeleted any residential towers? Tarzan - any new info from your contact?

    Liberty Village Towers/Bliss (CanAlfa, 24 + 20s, IBI-HB)

Oh, and forgive the newbie question, but has CanAlfa successfully completed any residential buildings in Toronto to date? Thanks.

At least then it will serve some purpose - migrating birds need a place to hang out...

Bliss Condos At Liberty Village (CanAlfa Group) - Real Estate -

When did your extension letter arrive, tarzan? Does it give any word of when construction will start?

Bliss Condos At Liberty Village (CanAlfa Group) - Real Estate -

Thanks, Mike. So, if the problem is indeed that construction costs have increased to the point they can't afford to build because the selling price was too low, CanAlfa may very well be trying to shake the tree - get as many buyers as possible to backout, then resell their units at a higher...
