    Toronto Toronto | Parade at Concord CityPlace | 127.4m | 44s | Concord Adex | P + S / IBI

1.5 years seems to be the delay average for most Cityplace buildings recently. W1, Montage, Neo, Luna, Parade...

Downtown condo market: Is it worth it to buy for one year?

Renting for the 1 year would be much less risky. I would rent if it was me.

Harbourview Estates Condos (Concord CityPlace) - Real Estate -

There are like 15+ condos in the Cityplace area, all with different architects/designs, age, amenities, boards, budgets and management companies. To paint them all with the same brush isn't realistic. About HVE, I can echo that their amenities are very good. One thing to watch out for is...

Furniture Shopping -- The Good and The Bad

Try Morba on Queen st just west of Bathurst.

Rêve Condos (Tridel) - Real Estate -

Good for Tridel... maybe not so good for owner+occupiers. With this many small units, I can predict a pretty high rent to own+occupy ratio. I'd steer clear until the property matures.

Luna Condos (Concord CityPlace) - Real Estate -

For Neo & Montage, I believe just about all the PDIs were done prior to first occupancy. If I recall there was a 2-3 month gap between my PDI and my occupancy.

    Legal Council Recommendations

I am part of a newly formed condo board in a downtown condo and am looking to fill our permanent legal council position. If you've served (or serve) on a board and are happy with your council, I would appreciate any recommendations you may have. Thanks

    Concierge/security in condo buildings

Sure... there are "uniforms": or uniforms: ... my reference was to the latter.

    Concierge/security in condo buildings

It would be nice to see some well mannered, uniformed, full-service concierge staff in Toronto condos as you see them in NYC. You typically form a relationship with this type of concierge, along with providing them with a xmas bonus/gift. Does this exist anywhere in Toronto? The typical...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Recently checked out Nadege for the first time... rocked. The macarons were pretty much bang on to the Paris variety. The sandwiches were pretty good too, though there seems to be much more variety earlier in the day.

    Floor Plan opinions

Nice unit overall... though I am not a fan of the closet by the terrace entrance; why do you need one there? If you knocked out the closet and kept the same flooring (hardwood) throughout you would do a lot to improve the perceived width of what is right now looking like narrow space.

    Car-free Condo?

    So does Glas.

    Trinity-Spadina Condo Association Founding Meeting!

Interesting perspective "DSC", I am a bit curious what has led you to believe that this was their agenda? My understanding has been that this has been more of a grass roots organization trying to restore some balance in the condo act. I know that there are at least two cityplace residents on...

    Trinity-Spadina Condo Association Founding Meeting!

Is anyone going to this press conference?

    City Workers Strike 2009

The question of privatizing these services is an interesting one. I do have an anecdotal experience to share... The company I work for has an annual event where all the employees go out to the community and volunteer in some way. This year, many chose to spend time cleaning up Toronto parks...

    Buying New vs Resale

Many people on this site hate Cityplace for various reasons, that aren't about quality or its investment potential (both good by the way). So I would take whatever you read here with a grain of salt.

    Czehoski's cheeseburger FTW!

    Sobeys

Agree with the OP, the new Sobey's at the base of Montage/Neo is very nice. The Faema espresso bar made me a decent capuccino. The cake selection was very good too (dufflets, ice cream cakes and more). Prices are about what'd you'd expect for the area, with some bargains to be had...
