    Boxes for moving?

I like going to a print shop and just asking for boxes. Those boxes that hold 8.5x11 stacks of paper are handy for books/odds 'n ends/glasswear. And they are free.

Chinatown East: Zhong Hua Men Gate

From what I've heard for the last 10 years is that is a dying neighborhood. Chinese are have been trying to sell from there and move to markham for years. If you look on Realtor.ca there are more stores for sale on that portion of the street than any other in Toronto. Perhaps we might see...

No problem using it in firefox. Didn't find it overly slow though I mainly used the map functionality. I really loved that it would show me an overview of what was for sale on the map. You could see instantly if it was on a dead end street or right near a main street.

Highly improbable. They probably started approaching companies for bids to have it done over a year ago. Maybe two years depending on the red tape they have to jump through and how much of the back end was changed to accommodate the new front end.

10+ The date won't be on the contract. They send you a letter. If you did not get a letter call them and find out if you have a move in date and then get them to fax it to you.

If you received a firm move in date (April 4 for me in the east tower) then they can not move that date by more than a week or they face stiff penalties. I'm not sure what they are but I believe they have to pay for your living expenses if they go past that limit. So if you have a firm date you...

Confirmed: Deepening rental housing crisis in Canada, Ontario, Toronto

Why does everyone assume that owners who rent are carrying a full mortgage? If I was in the business of renting out units I would make sure I either bought outright or made a substantial down payment so that I'm able to rent at a reasonable price and making money in the long term. When you...

    Condo Upgrades

That's outrageous. We have 1100 sq ft and it cost us 2500. When you hire someone to do floors the charge by the sq ft to remove and again by the sq ft to dispose. Depending on the floor you get from the builder it's pretty much comparable though still a rip off for installation alone.

Net Neutrality / Internet Throttling Debate

Bell made it's own bed... let them lie in it.... http://www.answers.com/topic/bell-canada Reducing service on leased lines is unfair business practice. It basically gives an unfair advantage to bell who already holds the monopoly.

    Some good areas to live

Apt's at Broadview and Danforth go for about that and you can get fantastic views of the city across the valley. They are right next to the subway and a Dominion with all sorts of shops and restaurants along the danforth. Including Deep Blue which has some of the best fish and chips in toronto :)

    Your favourite on-line shopping sites?

Etsy.com is my favourite for layout though they don't categorize enough. You kinda hafta hope your keywords match. Ebay categorizes plenty but I find it ugly to look at.

The Great PC/Mac Debate (Embarrassing Revelations for Windows Vista)

I'm not confusing anything, stop being so pompous as to assume people don't know what they are talking about. There are 3 service packs to xp which cost nothing. There are 5 point updates to OSX and you MUST buy them all or risk that your next software upgrade no longer works. All...

The Great PC/Mac Debate (Embarrassing Revelations for Windows Vista)

A big negative for Mac that no one ever mentions. Every time they upgrade from 10.x to 10.x you have to pay for it. Since OSX came out XP has been giving free updates the whole time including major ones. OSX has been through 4 major upgrades and you have to purchase each one. The best part is...

But LotE is not faux brutalist. I would take Robards over St. Lawrence any day even though they are both actual brutalist. St. Lawrence is dull to look at and a sub-par example of brutalist from the exterior.

Move in date for the east tower is now early april. They're firm dates which can't be moved by more than a week. Anyone know how close they have to be to their scheduled move in date before they can incur penalties?
