    Toronto Concorde Corporate Centre Redevelopment | 159.36m | 47s | Fengate | Core

Couple people saying this is too much density because it's too far from subway stop. It's like a five minute walk for the people furthest away, maybe seven if you walk slow. That is a distance as a downtowner I would walk everyday, I would walk twice that. Take a look at the density north of...

    100 Wynford Drive (HR Reit, ?s, ?)

Tear off the back and interior of the Bell office, keep the façade, build parking underneath it and an addition above? I don't see it happening, the average person would think is an ugly old office building not worth keeping. I would be really surprised if it doesn't get the wrecking ball. Would...

    Hamilton Pier 8 Redevelopment | 147m | 45s | Cityzen | Omar Gandhi

This is the worst method of design. I had a prof that always wanted us to draw a squiggle and then base our whole design around it. There is a maple tree nearby so draw a maple leaf and repeat that pattern in the design lol It's for people with no creativity and frankly no business being a...

    Toronto Toronto | 625 Church | 184m | 56s | Manulife Real Estate | RAW Design

I always imagined a grand office tower being built on top of this. A red brick version of The Empire State Building. This is pretty crappy. Looks like any other generic cheap condo building going up around the city. The tower doesn't relate to the heritage façade at all. It looks kind of like...

    Toronto Toronto | Toronto Zoo Community Conservation Campus | 13.5m | 2s | Toronto Zoo | Zeidler

I noticed on there it says there will no longer be a tiger exhibit.

Post your pictures of Toronto here!

I love peering down Adelaide street, gorgeous brick buildings at street level, a web of wires above, shimmering blue glass towers above them, the epitome of how you would describe Toronto. Also love the condo bookending the street 3km away in the distance at Jarvis. If you were standing at that...

The famous picnic lawn at Bellwoods the other week. Quite a contrast from summer. West Queen West before the snow dump The laser-like light of the The St. Regis piercing through a black blizzard sky.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Because this entire area will be a massive dense neighbourhood of condos by the end of this decade. It’s already hell to live there and only the eastern 3rd has been developed. It should have a subway station right in the center. It could probably have 2 subway stations and then the subway could...

    That 'Stone Church' on Davenport.

Wow haha. This has very little chance of being approved. I guess it depends if that is the only windows those units have to outside or not.

It appears to abut this building. What happens to those windows and balconies? Are they allowed to do that?

    Toronto Toronto | 45 The Esplanade | 130.85m | 39s | Republic | Arcadis

The colonnade would be great if there was a bit more sidewalk space in front of it, and then the space under it was used for Parisian restaurant style seating, tables facing the sidewalk. The street frontage on this proposal does not go with the character of the street at all. The new condo...

    Toronto Toronto | 260 Adelaide West | 196.8m | 61s | CentreCourt | Sweeny &Co

I spit my drink out when I read this haha Every little bit counts. And the only good size park near this hood is The Grange, bit of a walk.

    49 Bathurst Street (?, ?s, ?)

Excellent, the park could use some section 37 funds. Definitely needs a new playground, and maybe they could squeeze in a small dog park. This park is heavily used, nowhere to sit usually, would love benches like they did in Queen's Park. Needs new sod, lots of it is just dirt from all the dogs...

    Toronto Toronto | 45 The Esplanade | 130.85m | 39s | Republic | Arcadis

I don't know about that newer one with the stairs, I suspect they allowed it for safety, so that the stairs are not icy in winter. Just knowledge I picked up from a book about Toronto like 10 years ago, I can't remember which book. It was probably a Coach House Book, maybe uTOpia, Local Motion...

    Toronto Toronto | 45 The Esplanade | 130.85m | 39s | Republic | Arcadis

Actually they don't support colonnades, they are essentially banned. I can think of one recent building that's getting a colonnade, Dundas and University, but that is to preserve heritage and build a subway entrance.

    Toronto Toronto | 778 King West | 68.1m | 20s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Ugh, I live on this block. That looks very depressing and prison like. Combined with the ugly office tower a block East this would make the neighbourhood feel even worse. I would love some nice warm red brick. There is actually too many retail spots on this stretch and not enough residents to...

    Toronto Toronto | 100 Davenport | 72m | 19s | 100 Davenport Ltd | Scott Shields

I complained to my friend in the planning office about this downgrade in design. They said the first renders were essentially fake and that when they asked for schematics, they had none to give the city. Apparently that happens quite often. Just an attention grab that they never planned on...

Wow those new renders have ruined my day, what a waste.
