Because the delay of Union Station was an embarrassment to the city. So as long as the Bay Concourse was partially opened, they announced its completion. This Revitalization construction won't end for another couple of years. Probably Summer 2023.

I really cant wait for this to be complete. This will serve as a nice appetizer for people driving on the Gardiner Expressway for the Downtown skyline.

The Signs are the least of the worry. This construction needs to get done. I am worried with the Mayor announcing that construction is complete no one is going to hold the contractors feet to the fire to getting the remaining construction done quickly.

And now they are predicting 8-10 year construction timeframe for Union Station Enhancement Project. Given their track record, I think it will take 20 years. Probably done by 2040.

And the restaurant in the Great Hall These guys just called a press conference to announce the Renovation is finished when it's not. They just did to avoid further embarrassment of the length of time it's taken them to finish.

It's not complete. There are many areas which are hoarded off and also retail and other stuff is not fitted out and not to mention metrolinks fitout. Probably take another year before it's done.

These initial floors take long. I think once these floors are done....it will speed up. This time next year, this should be 1/3 of the way up.
