I've noticed recently a lot of destination sign problems -- particularly plaguing the 501WB. The entire car will have blank signage.
I don't know if it's a bungled software update or something. Really odd that it'd mainly affect one direction of one route.
Their discount banners like No Frills barely dole out any points. It also depends on what you get -- fruit and veg never earn. I remember months of regular groceries at NF and finally getting 100 points for a lemon.
They're most generous on labels they own and other high margin products.
The corners can't be poured until the steel hangers have been attached, and the core must advance up to the point where the hangers attach for that to proceed
I think that has to do with geometry of the diverging path (it is still a small radius) or signal rules (the entering train is restricted by the approach signal or stop signal at the end of the pocket.)
I don't think they'd ever turn back trains at Chester, for the reason that there's no surface infrastructure there to take on that passenger load.
Broadview is also kind of awkward, because the pocket track is much closer to Chester. I also think there's some kind of limitation in that...
Has there been any design or concept showing how trains might get from Kipling station to Obico yard?
If they want to connect to the Kipling tail tracks, they would have to descend below the CPR line, and maybe further depending on how they plan to push through 101 Subway Crescent for the...
Does anyone know if the tunnel between the TTC station and main building still exists? The second platform project and union reconstruction suggest that it's been totally removed, but I'd be curious to know it's fate/status.
I feel like they could jockey the station west enough to mop up Cloverdale and still have enough room to veer south to Sherway (e.g. the Food Basics parking lot) and avoid the branch, but I'd prefer if they put a station on the Honeydale grounds to keep it near the CP ROW and and redeveloped...
I don't want my personal accounts to be public-facing, so I've uploaded it here instead. (Download while you can -- it will only work for 30 days.)
Some of the pictures are duds -- these were taken 10 years ago when cameras were worse. If you need those pages, then it is a perfect excuse to go...
I do! I have pictures of the whole darn thing. The hard copy sits in an aisle on the second floor of the toronto reference library dedicated to all of toronto's failed transit projects. Yes, it's an aisle.
My copy is 140MB so not sure what the best way to share it is.
Passed by the other day and the fitout looks complete. Looking into the second floor, shelves and walls are stocked.
Google maps says opening May, which I'd believe.
