Your logic is useless here. All this person wants to do is bash Toronto, despite knowing what they’re saying is easily disprovable. according to them, Toronto is a culinary wasteland devoid of anything but “MacDonalds”, a restaurant which cool bohemian Berlin obviously doesn’t have 🙄 Toronto...

Basically, they're installing multiple pianos (4 or 5 I think?) into different spots around the building. And I think they're trying to match each piano to the ambiance of the space they're in. It's kinda kitschy, but I like it. Shows their attention to detail.

I don't even care if it's brick to be honest. If they brought those pillars a bit forward to break up the monotony of the glass then I'm gucci. Now, the side facing Dupont is what I'm a bit concerned about. It's basically one huge wall. That might not be a terrible thing, and it will likely fit...

Didn't you get the memo? Left-wing is when you criticize stuff.

From a distance, maybe. I find them very sterile from the street.

The column had some extremely valid points, and you're ignoring them because they hurt your fee-fees. Drop the act. This is a site for urban planning geeks, not the general public. Grandstanding and feigning offence won't get you anywhere.

To be honest, I liked the old proposal way better. The towers were probably too tall, in fairness, but I liked the ground-level treatment a lot. The materiality was great (i.e. not just glass), and it contributed to Queen Street's streetwall nicely. And that covered mew was pretty cool too. I...

They set it too far back from the street. How is Highway 7 supposed to urbanize if developers keep doing that?

How come nobody is talking about the towers set to rise on this site? They're so freakin' ugly!

HOLY COW did they ever butcher the front entrance. Did they take design cues from a Smartcentre?

It's hard to tell from the renders alone, but the "black trim" looks a lot like brick to me.

Oh god, this is that really nice brick building, isn't it? I'm not sure how old it is; could it be significant enough (architecturally speaking) to warrant a heritage designation?

It looks good, but it would look better if the brick design continued to ground level IMO.

The building right next to it is more dated than ugly, in my opinion. In fact, in terms of symmetry, colour palette, etc., I'd say it's even quite attractive.

What's with the slight overhang on the ground level of the podium? I see this with a lot new developments.

Is there any recourse for the city? Or is this development a done deal?

Will there be retail along Davenport?
