I doubt many of those trees will survive the installation of underground utilities (see Hawrelak park). I know that several in the pic are Manitoba maples which are just tree-weeds.

I dunno, seems everyone has had ample opportunity to knock Regency and this, their latest project. I agree the the building is somewhat "disappointing" on an architectural esthetic level but hey, lets put this one to rest and move on.

The argument that HSR offers cheap, reliable cargo transport needs to account for, say, autonomous truck convoys in their own dedicated lanes. Also, a HSR could only go to one central terminal requiring a huge warehouse and distribution systems requiring, well, trucks for the last kilometer...

I think it's a good idea as well. Unfortunately, the rail companies are notoriously difficult to get them to cede property they own. If there's a cost to it, I suspect CP will pass; what's their incentive? (hint, they don't do anything just to be nice) I understand that this is a marshaling yard...
