The Lower Baseline one lane bridge is an interesting one (Between 5 Line and 6 Line). I haven't been there in over a year though. Does anyone know when the new 2 lane bridge will be open? or has it been opened to traffic already?

I don't think it would cause as much of an issue as it does at the 427 since some of the traffic goes onto the 407 anyways. For example: When driving to Mississauga in rush hour through Milton, traffic normally starts at Hwy 25/ Martin St. in Milton and then once we get to the 407 it is clear up...

I see what you mean. It could go both ways. People will end up just taking whatever highway is most convenient then, since both are toll.

I also meant to add that some people take the 407 because its not as busy even though it might be more out of the way. But if the 401 is tolled and isn't as busy, those people will then take the 401 instead of the 407.

I haven't done any research or anything. Maybe someone here knows but I wonder if the provinces agreement with 407ETR when they sold the 407 would let them toll the 401. The reason I'm asking is because if the 401 is tolled, the 407 might have less volume too and they may lose money. I may...
