The podium is nice but the tower is plain-Jane. Should be slimmer, and can't there be something other than glass proposed here? Something a little more 'solid' might offset the blandness of endless glass.

Agreed, but I think one of the challenges to redevelopment on Yorkdale's land of any height will be complicated by the presence of Downsview Airport which imposes height restrictions...probably why condos were never developed here, like at almost every other GTA mall.

Heights I worked on these approvals back in 2006 when I worked for another planning firm. Was my first big planning project. Sat through the whole OMB hearing too!!! They are 29 stories each. Originally there were 3 towers but it got scaled back.
