    Toronto Toronto | Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis

Each new building at Cityplace gets better and better and I hope Concord produces a show stopper for their grand finale. A 70+ storey building would be spectacular, but it may be not financially feasible or maybe more difficult to approve for that site. A twin 60 storey building could be...

Some new renderings of the widened building. Looks great, though some of the views looks pretty distorted:

Better, but it looks like half a snowman or an edamame bean. Maybe it will look better if the ball pattern alternate from side to side and the projections are more subtle -- the graphic pattern is a little too loud.

    FREED Development Reputation

That's unfortunate MikeMang, sorry to hear what you had to go through. I always tought Freed built some nice quality condos but that was their small boutique developments. Sounds like they are struggling with their larger developments like 550 Wellington (Thompson Hotel) and 650 King West. I...

    Toronto Toronto | 87 Peter | 156.05m | 49s | Menkes | Core Architects

^^^ one half of the tower does remind me of Peter Street Condos, while the other side looks like Studio on Richmond with the three segmented sections. I was hoping a sleek black mysterious monolithic tower, but judging from the relatively busy elevation I don't think it will be mostly black.

Massey Tower Condos (Mod Developments) - Real Estate -

Pricing on the 16th floor ranges from $621 to $725 psf. The residential floors start on the 11th floor. The prices are exactly in line with INDX, but I personally think the features/finishes and unit layouts are nicer at INDX. It's bought mostly by investors so it seems like they are not too...

Massey Tower Condos (Mod Developments) - Real Estate -

If the brick building directly to the south gets developed, the units facing south are screwed as the building is almost against the lot line. I don't know if the brick building is a designated heritage building which could hamper any kind of highrise development there. The proposed 1 million...

Eaton Centre IV (Cadillac Fairview, 1 million sf office space)

St. Mike's also leases the building across the street, next to Massey Tower and above the Homesense store. I have a friend who works there. The building is very depressing inside and definitely needs a redo.

I generally don't like wallpapering patterns on buildings, but I really like this. It looks really sharp, and I totally agree with Torontovibe, KPMB smartly used gray (and white) spandrel panels to their advantage, not as an afterthought like on most condo buildings. It's my favorite building...

The crude rendering doesn't help. The base/podium is a little brutal. I don't like the pattern on the tower. Looks like a colon or smoke from a chimney. The design has potential. It just needs some thought and substance in terms of how the balconies forms the graphics of the tower.

I could picture bowls of green M&M's in the sales centre! Maybe a mirrored coffee table in the model suite...

    Toronto Toronto | Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

The top of the tower is way too busy and distracting with those wavy ribbons. The top of the original is nicer. Looks like the design was tarted up at the last minute for the sake of making it look more flashy, which unfortunately misses the mark. Keep it simple and elegant.

Muji or Uniqlo would be awesome here, let alone in Toronto. The Moss store in SoHo is excellent (www.mossonline.com). I could picture something like that here. I hope we get an upscale or world-class retailer here, not some second rate jeans and t-shirt store that plagues Yonge St.

Tom Vu has a new slogan, complete with bad spelling.

Hey Investors, Stop Buying Pre-construction! (you're shooting yourselves in the foot)

I agree, this is not the time to buy as an investment. A while ago buying preconstruction meant you were paying favorable prices, compariable to resales, simply because you are assuming the risk of buying something that hasn't been built yet and waiting a while for it to be built. Buying...

It's a shame that this project got reduced to just one level of residential. It looks just odd at that height. Doubt they ran out of money, they could have easily sold those extra floors. Looks like they could build only to the height of the original building.

    Toronto Toronto | INDX Condos | 178.6m | 54s | Lifetime | P + S / IBI

The exterior is not bad, a very safe but uneventful design. It reminds me a bit of Bond condos but with those illuminated square cut outs. It would be great to see light bronze glass/windows used here, as unintensionally depicted in one of the previous renderings. A warm hued building would be...

INDX Condos (Lifetime Developments & CentreCourt Developments) - Real Estate -

A friend showed me the marketing package and unit plans and I am very impressed. The units are well laid out, with no weirdness going on here. The unit features and finishes are pretty upscale with undercounter wine fridges being standard and there is even an optional mini appliance package (in...
