There's a profile/interview piece on Bob McCown in the Globe where he talks about a plan he pitched to the federal government over a decade ago for a 'stadium district' at Downsview. I'm not a fan of his or the idea but it's interesting to read about nonetheless. "Backed by a friend, a former...

Not sure if someone has already posted this here, but if you don't already follow Rocky's Twitter account you really should. It's funny, posts daily, and often has great pictures and progress reports.

Boo! What purpose do your facts serve here? JK I thought that the Oxford proposal was just east of here (above the convention centre) but didn't look it up because that would have exposed the major flaw in my scheme. That plan has now backfired.

Or, knock out the north end, including the entirety of the hotel, then keep going and take out 315 & 325 Front (I think Rogers owns both of these no?), deck over the railway, and with the stadium now open and facing north you have a big public plaza/park with a view into the Dome (which also...

No update yet but found this:

121 King St W (@ York St, Crestpoint, window replacement, WZMH)

This is one of my favourite office buildings in the city. It's really tucked in its place nicely and has a nice big-city presence to me. And it's interesting form makes it feel larger than a box of similar size (to me at least).

Amazing, thank you for the update!

Official Toronto Fire Twitter mentions the south east corner. Edit: I suppose that's actually referring to where the Fire Dept will be updating the media

Somehow very cool even though it's Tottenham.

    Toronto Toronto | East Harbour | 214.2m | 65s | Cadillac Fairview | Adamson

Sorry, this is a bit off topic but I remember reading that East Harbour is planning something like 10 million sq ft of office space to Toronto's stock and I've been trying to find out how many square feet the city currently has and for the life of me I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have...

I should hurry and pitch them my Gerrard Square site idea! Perfect spot for our very own Fenway/Comerica/Tigers/Wrigley style old-fashion ballpark! Edit: Sorry, wrote "Comiskey", meant "Comerica"

Hopefully these turn out well since they will be blocking most (all?) of the Daniels towers when viewed down Bremner and from Maple Leaf Square.

University Avenue (History and Future Redesign)

Agreed. I'm very hopeful that the successes of Hidalgo, and the renewed interest in greater public space in the post pandemic world will encourage Keesmaat to make another run for mayor. I know Tory will likely run (and win) again, but I can dream.

University Avenue (History and Future Redesign)

This is what I was thinking along the lines of. Hidalgo is stealing my ideas! We can't undo much of the ugliness that the condo boom has brought upon us, but creating a more beautiful, natural, and livable public realm downtown would, in my opinion, undo some of the damage this ugliness has...

University Avenue (History and Future Redesign)

Let's just do this to every major street between Parliament and bathurst and turn all of downtown into a big park. (I know this isn't practicle).

Looking very nice! This is right around where I used to live. You could order ahead at Squareboy and walk to pick it up in a minute. You'd still end up waiting 15 minutes for your food but that's how they do it there and they ain't changing for nobody!

I'd like to think I was the one who paved the way for all of these.

Looks great. I would love a few dozen more of these scattered around the city. Also great news about the sidewalks!
