They should move quick as almost the entire floor is covered with the truss panels that are already covered with plywood, this leaves very few and small areas to fill in between after landing the panels on the next floor. Enjoy your view of the lake while you still can... Also thanks for keeping...

The height of the columns are 11.5m (almost 38'). There will be a steel floor installed at the second floor in this area, you can see the red painted locations for the steel beam connectors on the columns, and the ones on the underside of 3rd floor for the steel hangers at the slab edge to hang...

Correct slabs were thicker, Shangri-La was half 230mm slab and half 280mm slab (also the slabs were cambered, which means they are an upside slope compared to a parking garage slope to drain, in the middle of each "bay" the slab is higher so when the concrete settles it will become flat) One...

Very true, wind may be a big factor in the speed of this project. Concrete wise, there will be a concrete pump inside the elevator core, this will free up alot of crane time, as well as a self-climbing wall system to lift the walls for the elevator/stair core without need of the crane for the...

Right now you can tell that the slabs are leaning or stepping out on both towers, mostly due to seeing the concrete columns on an angle, but I'm wondering once its covered by the "Dollarama Green" glass will the lean still look as good? or even very noticeable?

As always great pic LNahid2000. They threw that slab down fast, we should see some slabs forming for the tower fairly quickly, the truss panels for the tower are already pre-built on the south podium area, ready to start forming the tower floors. Since there were a lot of delays this winter...

I believe that the roof levels probably are not 100% finalized, but last time I checked there were 3 units (all somewhere around 4000-5000 total sq. ft each approx.). A Single level penthouse suite taking the East half the building at 75th A two-story penthouse suite taking the North west...

Ya thats correct, load is transferred down through the walls, into the beams. Then the deep beams move the load to the columns underneath and the load is then brought down to the footings below the lowest parking level.

Looks to be that they are around 41st Floor on the East Tower now, getting close to topping off the concrete part of the project.

Anyone know if they have completed pouring the transfer beams and if they have started to layout the rebar/pour concrete for the concrete slab at 8th floor?

Ya, I would not want to be the carpenter that has to build that slab (balcony) bulkhead shape at every floor since every floor is slightly different

(Previous Post) As with most buildings they change from columns to walls when switching from retail to condo suites, with One Bloor they are using 8' deep x 5-6' wide transfer beams to accomplish this which is what you see in the photos as the cubes that go below the slab with a ton of...

No problem, its too bad I have to downsize the files to get them to upload, loses a bit of quality.

Great pics over the last week, anyone able to get a current aerial shot of the 8th Floor?

I believe what you see might be the forms for the elevator core above the 8th floor, as 8th floor is still in the process of being constructed/poured.

That would be correct, original drawings had a concrete floor mid level (@2nd Floor) between the ground and 3rd floor, it was replaced with a future installed steel/deck floor.

I'm 99.9% sure retail will open (or at least start to be occupied) before the tower tops off, I would estimate the earliest they will be occupied would be when the tower gets up to around 42nd-44th Floor. And the low lift elevators are installed. I would take a guess they may be around 44th...
