Update on the Carrington property that owners had to vacate in Castle downs due to risk of collapse - sorry if posted somewhere already. Carrington can't successfully be sued despite this: "Investigators determined the 83-unit building, constructed in 1999, does not match the architectural...

Some building owners along the 105 Ave bike lane are doing a nice job cleaning up property and making it vibrant - like the Shumka Dance Studio.

105 Ave bike lane getting painted today. But this has to be a mistake. These uni-directional lanes are already narrow and they installed bollards to cut the 5 and half foot space in half. Somebody with a cargo bike won't even fit through.

    Alberta Politics

UCP government really on a roll this week with bad policy, bad decisions and bad news. Lots of money into the economy gone and opportunities at alternative energy delayed, delayed, delayed. https://calgaryherald.com/opinion/columnists/transalta-shelves-wind-project-due-to-provincial-buffer-zones

In the bottom third of the pic, they are still working at one level below grade. And the part they are pouring now is ground level.

I wonder if this announcement let's the Oilers Entertainment Group off the hook regarding money it had agreed to provide if fundraising didn't reach its goal.

Would be interesting to know what condo project in Edmonton has been classified as derelict and is paying 3x property tax.

    Municipal Politics

The minister said municipalities will be consulted with on ammendments. As a couple of the municipalities noted, the province should have done this before developing and releasing the Bill. Cities, obviously, are major stakeholders and to not have worked with them on this from the outset is...

    Edmonton Oilers

Yes, except since you brought it up, the Bruins lost to the Stanley Cup finalist Florida Panthers last year - the ONLY team in the conference they did NOT have a winning record against in the regular season during that huge 135 point campaign. A surprise they lost? Maybe not so much based on...

They did that last year, too, pumping out water and then were gone.

Was actually 4 losses, but who's counting (I guess I am 😆) just one of those losses was with Knoblauch when we still had shot at first.

    Alberta Politics

What a joke though if you read the story - or just the quote below the headline. Government says 'it is clear that the cities are not able to pay for their full programs' It should be : "UCP continues to throw their cities under the bus!"

Encore's product in Blatchford has been my favorite in terms of style/design and that continues with these. The price point leaves many out of the game but they sure look nice.
