Article: Menkes and Lifetime Developments' Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Breaking

What! No pool. Well I never. Plus, no servants quarters. There must be a closet that can be converted somewhere in that floor plan. But, hey, who wants to live with servants anyway.

Article: Casa Loma Revitalization Takes A New

Hey, wait a minute. It's April 1st. I just read that whole thing believing it was true. What a damn ugly tower. Did one of your new interns design that mess. Using the word "precast" really gives it away.

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Yes, that makes perfect sense. The building on the southeast corner of Queen/Yonge has just such an arrangement. A tiny Charbucks(I have to call it that because my best friend owns 2 Second Cups<full disclosure>and says their coffee has a strong burnt taste and more importantly they are not...

Article: Toronto Reference Library Renovation By Moriyama & Teshima Architects Contin

From the outside the look is a drastic change that's not for the better. But this new design takes human beings into account. The old entrance was dark and small. Walking into the entrance of Toronto General Hospital improved greatly with their reno-this should too. Plus I miss the Eaton...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

Charbucks?? Ugh. They closed a great Second Cup to put a Tim Hortons in this building and now a Charbucks is going in. Where? The Hair Salon? or maybe where the variety store is on the Northeast corner on Bloor. Unless Pizza Manna is closing there is no other spot

Article: Rocket Riders Rejoice: A Quick Exit Has Never Looked Better

That looks like a two part siren on top of the existing exit. Shouldn't all ugly buildings have warnings of some sort, if only to save our eyes from visual assaults?

Article: Penthouses Open For Viewing At Cresford's Casa Condominiums

It's beautiful of course, but for 1.8 million a lot more can be had elsewhere. The location makes the price of course but walking by Sanctuary can be a harrowing experience occasionally. Also, is the 45th floor really the penthouse. I thought the penthouse was the 46th floor with the 47th floor...

    North Downtown Continues To Boom

What? Don't expect the TTC to be aware that the Bloor/Yonge line has hit it's full capacity when that happens. Their own employees can't even bother to tell us not to pay when service is down.

I believe you are right about Straight being "done" but it's still the same owner I saw entering the building a few days ago. She also owns Wish restaurant and 7 West on Charles St East and West respectively. Commercial Brown Kitchen is the new name of the restaurant according to the sign that...

Article: The Roof Of Amexon's South Beach Condos Comes Together

Ok she's no beauty, but come on Uptown, does that look so difficult. What were you so afraid of?

Article: A Look At George Brown College's Waterfront Health Sciences Campus

Really love the boardwalk dual level benches. Have these been seen on the boardwalk before?

Touring Pinnacle International's Grand Park Condo Model Suites in Mississaug

The "design associates" at Tanner Hill must have a cat fight over who would get to do the redrum. That kind of over the top decor is pure fantasy. Of course that is what they are selling more than anything. But that bedroom is not restful at all. It's for the birds really. Oh, and the ladybugs too.

Article: Trump Tower Toronto (Talon, 60ish, Zeidler)

If it was 1990 we would be genuflecting to it's greatness. But it doesn't feel exciting. I'm reminded of Waterpark Place or Police Headquarters or the Rogers Headquarters. Take those three buildings and squeeze them out of a caulking gun and your have the Trump Tower. Do love the density though.

Vote For The John Street Square Competition Finalists

The Staircase for me too please. I like simplicity, so it could just be that those renderings are the easiest to understand. Why so many ghosts lurking in the other entries? The tall worms in #5 look too much in charge of the area.

    Church-Wellesley Village

Guys, the Black Eagle is the one place I go on Church where a wide variety of music can be heard. It's certainly not scheduled as an event and fully up to the bartender. But it's the one place where I find myself asking the bartender what's playing.

Article: A Smashing Good Time At El-Ad's Emerald City Condos

A co-worker of mine was offered 5 months rent when he was asked to leave the low-rise apt. building directly behind Burano. Money is always the best incentive. Depends how much your love your rental I guess.

Photo Of The Day: The Classic Night Time Photo Of Downtown Toronto From The CN Tower

I remember in the late 80's Toronto had a G-20 type summit. The block between King & Front to John & Simcoe was nothing but a flat parking lot save for Roy Thompson Hall. It was used by the summit for the media centre and became a tent city. skyscrapercity.com has older versions of the above...

    Church-Wellesley Village

It's too bad about Yefseis. It was run by the family that opened Pita Pan in this location more than 10 years ago. It was quite busy for 5 or more years. (Can't remember exact dates, sorry.) But the mother told me hard economic times in Greece caused them to move back here and reopen their old...

Ground Breaking For Pemberton Group's U Condos Takes Place

My intention on Monday is to vote for Kristyn Wong-Tam. But just now, looking at Kyle Rae, I somehow can't picture her being interested in these pro development photo ops. Is there another choice I should be making.

    Church-Wellesley Village

Apparently the owner George feels that Mandy Goodhandy's gets away with quite a bit of without an adult license, so why not Flash.
