If I were a TTC constable I would just buy my own bullet-proof vest. You can get them fairly cheap now. Small investment to make if it saves your life. Of course if a bullet hits your head you are SOL $360.00 for the cheapest one...

I think they already get bulletproof vests. But what they dont get is tasers, which I think is ridiculous. AFAIK they're only equipped with pepper spray

Right, so 3 of the 8 girls will pretty much skate on these charges. And even if the remaining 5 are sentenced as adults, we all know this is Canada and they wont serve much more then 3 to 5 years in jail (if that). With time off for pretrial custody they could be out in less then 2 years

I dont think they are being tried as adults however, because the judge is not releasing their names. Are you saying they can be tried as young offenders and then still be sentenced as adults??

I cant speak for him, but what I think he means is the girls will be tried under YOA and will get very light sentecnes. They'll be out in less than 3 to 5 years (if that). And their identities willl never be known

Today one of the girls was released on bail. Out of the 8 girls charged, only 2 parents showed up in court to support them. (per CP24)
