The Food Terminal is bringing a lot of jobs and business to that area. I agree with you that it would be a big mistake to move it somewhere else. However, I do think that there can be an out of the box win-win solution here. This site can be redeveloped to include the (new) Food Terminal...

The food terminal can be easily integrated in a new development and can even increase its capacity. It would be amazing if this new redevelopment is connected to 2150 Lake Shore, but I agree with you. Unless this area is better connected via rapid transit it will not be feasible to build office...

There was some modest activity on that site and they have asked for a temporary sales office to be built there recently. I know that there is a lot of opposition from the neighboring residents for this to get going, primarily because of likely traffic jams, but looks like this is going ahead...

So that's why there are no subway lines in the neighborhood. They are planning to build intergalactic transit hub and don't want to be bothered with old technology 🤣

When 2002 Lake Shore West and Southport Square are finished, the area will form an interesting skyline. From some angles it will look like eastern extention of Humber Bay Shores. On the other side, intensification around Mimico GO will probably look like the western extension of the HBS...
