The city thinks everything is too tall! Can't the developers just override it and appeal to the province? I thought Doug Ford created some legislation that allows unlimited height? Maybe Im confused haha.

Im in the same boat. First design was modern, sexy and would have been a real head turner. Felt like something out of the middle east. Unlike anything currently in Canada. The current design is above average, but loses the pizazz for me. It went from a modern Asian showstopper to a refined Miami...

Yes this just means the 19th floor will be ready to go for moving in by this date. Makes sense to me, that's a little under 2 years away. It should be totally topped out by end of 2024.

Was at Hanlans Point today. This tower dominates the view taking the boat from the island to the mainland. It's going to be a big skyline contributor. And that glass is stunning! Its got a more clear texture VS the green glass buildings nearby. I personally am loving it.

Interesting. This article says the east tower (which launched at the end of June) sold 50% in 6 weeks. That would take it to about August 10th. Not as much as I was told. They won't start construction until it gets to 80% or so I imagine.

I mentioned it over on SkyScraper Forum a couple weeks ago how the tower was mostly sold out. I went out for a few drinks with a colleague of mine who is part of the sales team at Forma and they told me at that point (mid Aug) that the first tower was almost sold out with only a few dozen units...

The article makes it seem like this tower is ready to go and will be up by 2025 haha. Meanwhile there's no tenant and most likely won't be built anytime in the next decade.

Interesting article. However all it says to me is that Amazon is happy with their 18 York space. Why lease all this space only to leave 4 years down the road? I doubt they have much use for that much more space. The odd floor here and there over the years, but not enough to headline a 1.2...

So basically the 262m will be finished by late 2028 or so, and the taller tower probably 2030-2031. Still a very long ways to go on this one.

11 Bay, CC3, The Hub, and Union Centre are all fighting for the next office tower in Toronto. Whatever one is chosen will be the tallest office tower to be built in Canada in a generation.

Any idea where this one is on final height? Is the core maxed out or will it still go higher?

The Delta is also in the foreground in those pics, which makes it look even taller than it is. The tower in the background will always look shorter due to perception. I've seen a 150m tower look taller than a 250m tower just due to the position in which you're standing.
