    Restaurant Comings & Goings

I'd say it's prime real estate, just not the best shops. But they will move if they don't get the business they need to make money. Although even just being there with the signage probably makes up for any loss of the stores operations.

My favourite thing from Friday Burger is their Mississippi Mud Pie and Banana Cream Pie puddings. Really really good.

Until people stop being bleeding hearts it will just get worse. The poor poor drug addicts. Let's give them free hotels to stay in and free food. It's a sad state we live in that homeless and mentally unstable people are literally making feel unsafe to simply walk around downtown.

I thought YDS is a POPS? They have the right to just change the name?

It really does need to be cleaned up. It is not a safe area. I've never once thought to go to Moss Park to hang out or go for a walk. I'd rather go elsewhere. And this is my own community. That is sad. I'm hoping that gentrification will change the area.

Wow, those first few floors of glass look nothing at all like the renderings.

I don't see concrete as cold and sterile if done right. Look at Washington DC's metro as an example.

What is going on with the windows?! There are horizontal lines at differing heights. Looks awful.

I hope they do. That yellow is gross.

Oh wow, that is quite unfortunate looking.

They are taking a very long time to finish the rooftops of these buildings.

I take it you haven't heard of 1 King W have you?

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

I really don't think that Healthy Planet will do well in this location. I haven't been, but I'm picturing overpriced expensive products that most people can't afford right now.

Ya, it just gives such a good visual representation of the progress. Yes, photos show that, but it's hard to tell which floor they are at, and see exactly how much is left.

Yay! So happy to see this. Love these. If I knew how to do these as well, I'd also do it.

What do you mean by that? Do you want Toronto to become like US cities where crime is so rampant that stores are closing? This is not the city I want to live in. We need to stop with this craziness and start doing something about it before it's too late.

We definitely need more police on foot walking downtown. Having visible police does deter crime, and the right police that say hi to you when the walk past you and are friendly and smiling would make a world of difference in making people feel safe.

This building gives me the heebie jeebies lol. The cantilever just looks impossible. I can't wait to see all the windows cleaned, and all the trimmings finished.

So when I looked at the blueprints on the City website, it shows this as a spiral staircase. So is this going to be a glass enclosed spiral staircase entrance to Apple, or just to the PATH? Or something else?
