I would love to see some kind of local transit in Halton Hills, but there is much weeping and gnashing of teeth every time the idea comes up.

It's somewhere between normal and unusual. Oddly, I have more patience for long delays caused by mechanical, switch and signal problems than I have for short/medium delays caused by passengers who are incapable of boarding the train in a timely fashion.

Getting to the GO train and waiting for the train to depart: 20 minutes. Riding the GO train: 1 hour. Walking up University: 30 minutes. Waiting for class to begin: An hour or more. *shudders*

I wonder if the Conservative party feels that Jews Against Zionism are anti-Semitic? At the very least, they must not belong to the monolithic "Jewish community" referenced in the pamphlet.

I'm not too excited about a fare increase, myself, but I don't understand the number of people who aren't directing their irritation towards the federal and/or provincial governments. The TTC could be more efficient, I'm sure, but it could also be properly funded.

A friend told me they're starting GO train service to Guelph in January. Can anyone confirm this? I thought it was going to be a while until that happened.
