    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Not really amazing. It's their bridge.

Toronto Toronto | GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I was thinking more in terms of debris, pebbles, etc.

Toronto Toronto | GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I wouldn't want to be standing under that when a train passes over at 100km/h and something falls through the cracks.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

How local? I used to live in North Toronto so when I'd bike over to Sunnbrook as a child I'd arrive via Sunnybrook Hospital. I always associated Leslie and Eglinton with Serena Gundy, which is what the sign actually says down in the park. I think the sign at the entrance on Leslie North of...

    Original Vitrolite station tiles

There was also one for Sheppard that I thought looked like the North end of Lawrence.

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

Equally offensive? I though the problem with the airport is that you can't escape the noise even by closing your window, which would temporarily solve the windmill issue...

Perhaps something like the Calgary Courts Centre then.

Who's done better on transit? Vancouver or Toronto

It's been a while since I've ridden it but the curb lanes are bus only from Commercial westward (Wikipedia says to Arbutus, which sounds right). Perhaps this wasn't in effect on a long weekend.

    Best commute Toronto to Kitchener

I was once in a line that stretched down the back garage wall all the way to Dundas. Sunday evening trip to Ottawa after a holiday. I think it may have actually continued East along Dundas for a bit.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

That's pretty bad. In English it seems you slide the door open in an emergency, but in French the doors just open on their own? Or are already open maybe?

    Monorail for Toronto

    That's not a switching track.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Polson Pier? Not too far away.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It's funny that 22 is so profitable given that it essentially operates as an after-hours replacement service for the 502/503, one of the worst performers, but unless you're trying to get downtown at 7:30 in the morning the 22 is actually much more frequent, even on Sundays.

York Region Transit: Viva service thread

The Transitway routes were pretty great. Very easy, and surprisingly fast, to get to the Airport or Train station from downtown (although the latter is still in the wrong location).

I believe the Calgary court tower is also quite nice. I agree that 393 is terrible.

??? I've been here for three years. You're just being childish at this point.

Saks is HBC. Your idea makes no sense. HBC "blinked" by not refurbishing their own store so they should now sell it to their rival?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

They can't expropriate everything. I don't think they could seize a Federal building. I'm actually curious of the extent to which they can mess with a federally-regulated railway. On the one hand Metrolinx own track and operate trains, hence the "we were here first" argument, but on the other...
