There are 25 stops on the Eglinton LRT. 22 of them will have connections to bus routes. How do we cut stops without missing these connections?

That seems like a bad idea. I would put it on Highway 7 to connect with VIVA and align the station to the north so that a short walkway can connect it with Woodbridge Ave. where all the density is.

No kidding, what a massive waste of land for all those years. I'm glad the whole thing is being redeveloped, even if the new land use is nothing special.

I see. I'm not an expert obviously, but my first reaction to that explanation is "good luck with that". Nothing nearby, much further away from anything than Aurora GO, no local bus connections, and subject to the woeful service pattern of the Richmond Hill line. Doesn't seem likely to attract...

Can someone explain the point of Bloomington GO to me? Where is the ridership supposed to come from? I'm not super familiar with the area, but looking at it on google maps it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere between golf courses, farms, and rich-people suburbs.

The midtown line is closer to the Line 5 station at Leslie than it is to Science Centre Station.

That's because of the forced transfer at Kennedy which makes many trips inconvenient. No one really cares if different lines use different rolling stock.

As a regular rider of buses on Wilson Avenue I fucking wish we had some red lanes to bypass traffic.

If line 2 does get extended, I don't think it'll be any time soon. There are so many other higher priority projects, not to mention that brand new bus terminal they just built at Kipling.

OneCity, you seem to be a strong supporter of building subway lines in suburban Scarborough, where the densities don't really necessitate it, and where lower-capacity transit solutions like LRT and BRT would provide speedy transit without the unneeded capacity and at a SIGNIFICANTLY lower cost...
