  1. Islington Express Bus

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

That thing looks like some creature out of a tool video.
  2. Islington Express Bus

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

There are 25 stops on the Eglinton LRT. 22 of them will have connections to bus routes. How do we cut stops without missing these connections?
  3. Islington Express Bus

    Hamilton Toronto | Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Hamilton deserves better! Elect me mayor, and I'll make sure that log cabin gets finished.

    London, ON

With the disclaimer that I haven't been everywhere: Kingston
  5. Islington Express Bus

    Caledon-Vaughan GO Rail Line

My vision of a Woodbridge station:
  6. Islington Express Bus

    Caledon-Vaughan GO Rail Line

Unfortunately a park and ride at 407/Islington would have no access to the highway.
  7. Islington Express Bus

    Caledon-Vaughan GO Rail Line

That seems like a bad idea. I would put it on Highway 7 to connect with VIVA and align the station to the north so that a short walkway can connect it with Woodbridge Ave. where all the density is.
  8. Islington Express Bus

    Rexdale Plaza

No kidding, what a massive waste of land for all those years. I'm glad the whole thing is being redeveloped, even if the new land use is nothing special.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I see. I'm not an expert obviously, but my first reaction to that explanation is "good luck with that". Nothing nearby, much further away from anything than Aurora GO, no local bus connections, and subject to the woeful service pattern of the Richmond Hill line. Doesn't seem likely to attract...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Can someone explain the point of Bloomington GO to me? Where is the ridership supposed to come from? I'm not super familiar with the area, but looking at it on google maps it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere between golf courses, farms, and rich-people suburbs.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

The one branch that travels via the 403 is very similar to the existing route 40: https://www.gotransit.com/static_files/gotransit/assets/pdf/TripPlanning/FullSchedules/FS05092020/Table40.pdf
  12. Islington Express Bus

    GO Transit Midtown Corridor

The midtown line is closer to the Line 5 station at Leslie than it is to Science Centre Station.
  13. Islington Express Bus

Metrolinx: Sheppard East LRT (In Design)

That's because of the forced transfer at Kennedy which makes many trips inconvenient. No one really cares if different lines use different rolling stock.
  14. Islington Express Bus

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

As a regular rider of buses on Wilson Avenue I fucking wish we had some red lanes to bypass traffic.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

    >attractive driving or transit option for north Richmond Hill (Oak Ridges), south Aurora and possibly eastern Newmarket, as well as driving in from Queensville/Keswick, Beaverton, Uxbridge and surrounding rural areas. Boy do I have news for you: There is no local transit planned to connect to...
  16. Islington Express Bus

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

If line 2 does get extended, I don't think it'll be any time soon. There are so many other higher priority projects, not to mention that brand new bus terminal they just built at Kipling.
  17. Islington Express Bus

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

OneCity, you seem to be a strong supporter of building subway lines in suburban Scarborough, where the densities don't really necessitate it, and where lower-capacity transit solutions like LRT and BRT would provide speedy transit without the unneeded capacity and at a SIGNIFICANTLY lower cost...
