Lots of excavation/grading/soil work! Still no word on the height figure for the spire, alas.

Crane is up, so this can be marked as "Under Construction"! I don't have any pictures, as I haven't been near the site in some time, but you can see it on the skyline. In the meantime, let's introduce everyone to this beauty, which will be one of the tallest buildings outside the main skyline...

The word through the grapevine is that underground work (caissons and whatnot) is almost complete. There's certainly less machinery onsite than there used to be.

Standing tall and proud. Mostly interior work on Millennium nowadays. The top floor penthouse is under agreement for $37 million.

Crane is down! They're dragging out finishing the facade, but the upper levels are starting to get covered up. All of the precast concrete panels have been installed; only glass and metal remains.

A broader skyline view: 888 is next to the tall tower on the right. The final pieces of the wind turbines up top are being installed; I'll take pictures the next time I'm close by.

I noticed the update! Glad to inspire. I, too, am curious to see when/if/how they excavate for this project. I'm going to add a bit of historical context: as messy of a pedestrian environment Copley Place is now, it actually used to be nonexistent: 1957: No Mass Pike or Prudential Center...

Will do! I'm quite curious about the figure myself, I asked the developer directly and they're playing it close to the chest. You'll know as soon as I hear.

A refresher on what will surely be a beautiful tower for Boston (renderings via the Boston Globe): Behind-the-scenes foundation work is underway- this tower is over a highway on an air rights parcel and construction/prep work will take longer than usual for a tower of this size as a result.

Facade installation has slowed, but is ongoing. I'm sure cold and windy weather has played a part in the delay.
