Since I live right next to the road, I do see what they do on a continuing basis. So yeah, unfortunately, it sure seems that lately very little to no work been done. And when the work does get done, there are a lot of construction workers standing around and watching. I think it's to install...

I agree with you on all fronts. As for the "The situations we have in this city are not unique to Toronto". There are a lot of cities that do a much better job than Toronto. We could just assume that Toronto-way is a reasonable way. Or we could demand from our politicians to do better. And yes...

I have suggested in the past paint the entrances of ROW with paint (probably red or yellow). This would not stop all of the stupid drivers. But could reduce some incursions.

I haven't used T1 in couple years now. Been using T3 a lot mostly for transborder flights. The experience is really suboptimal. Huge crowds, no lounge access within transborder section (I think there is one for AA, but none for Skyteam) etc. The never-ending construction at T3 is tiring. It...

Yeah. Typical Toronto BS. One other thing I noticed... various downtown streets (eg Front and Lake Shore East) were repaved over the last couple weeks. The paving quality is suboptimal with multiple places already crumbling and uneven. I don't understand why this work couldn't be done during...

They had so many opportunities to finish this project ahead of schedule. Instead, they are way behind. Doing things piecemeal. A lot of "finished" places already have cracks. They have clearly given up any hope of completing this project on time since they placed all that temporary asphalt. Best...

No, not that I have seen. I believe that is because the project was designed almost 10 years ago before a new policy to include Silva cell.

Update from today with a bit of a twist: Started to dig trenches for missing curbs New curbs at Lower Simcoe: Lane painting... Only 3 lanes as expected. Not 4. However, all 3 are through lanes, without any right turns. Weird.

Few more pics. Trees are planted. Looks like we are finally seeing this project coming to a completion:

Coincidentally, I have couple pics from today. More working is being done on sidewalks:

Because unlike what people above are saying, there will only be 3 lanes + shoulder lane. While shoulder is technically a lane, it will end before the intersection in order to prevent people from using it as a real lane.

Yeah. But there is a good chance it will snow/frost making it difficult to do a quality work

The traffic lights are old. They have not been touched yet. The markings are temporary until the final coat is done.
