Reddit had a picture posted of the fire downtown today, and had a great photo of this build:

Was there. Very nice addition to the downtown.

I think everyone being away from society for like literally 24 months turned people into anti-social idiots. Like people have a massive disregard for other people lately. It's really gross to see. Many are still awesome and caring people, but the few that aren't are really ruining it and they...

I don't know, I'm not a developer with seemingly unlimited money to build giant towers, so sometimes I don't question things.

The city will be reviewing it's midrise zoning by-law in the winter. The draft by-law appears to allow 44m developments (12 storeys) as-of-right on Main roads, of which this likely would be included. Up to 12 floors may be allowed here without major zoning change in the near future...

Really excited to see this one done. I don't think it will be pretty, but this area could really use a wider sidewalk and some trees. I do wonder if trees will be held off until LRT is completed though. Walls for floor 16 are being worked on, 9 to go it appears? Today:

Seems they may have filled this faster than expected, or they're just being.... Uh, particular with the information they share. Was speaking to someone who lives here and they said they were told there were only a few units left by the time they signed their lease. That being said, the...

There's probably a -30% to 0% chance this ever happens, especially in its current format.

To be fair, this has been a nightmare for McMaster with endless issues. It's particularly spicy because of the situation regarding the property tax exemption. That being said, Joey like anyone can have biases, but there is historical context to this issue. In 5 years nobody will remember any...

Eh, I try to avoid talking to workers. I'm usually very sociable but I've had them get bothered with me before. Maybe next time though.

I'm dying to know who owns it and if there's anything in the pipeline.

I walked over because I haven't seen too many pictures from the back of the building. Still curious if they'll be building the third tower as a recall that being in limbo. Perhaps they'll build as tall as they can sell? It is also becoming quite a substantial sight from York/James

Hamilton - Main St. E. redesign

Loving most of it, couple of spots I'm not in love with, but overall much better. The Cannon/Sherman intersection still kind of sucks though for both pedestrians and cyclists. I feel like they could have brainstormed some better ideas. A bit unfortunate there is no redesign of the portion...

Is this also on that earlier mentioned tender website for download?

Hamilton - Main St. E. redesign

Is anyone aware when the redesigned redesign report or documents will be made public or reported to council? If I recall they had discussed a 12 month turnaround, so perhaps this fall, but I wasn't able to find anything written in any of the media reports. I may take the time to review the...
