You mean they don't have absurd proposals like this in DC? There's a reason why the Toronto aesthetic doesn't grab people... it's a completely unregulated free-for-all for developers who are exploiting the growth of the city to line their pockets. There is no vision, no guidelines...

Couple of thoughts. The Yonge facade should be preserved. It can definitely be restored and incorporated into a new building. And I don`t but that nothing can be saved at this point. Brace the wall (as has been done many times with old facades) until the site is ready for redevelopment...
