I had no idea the Fina Building conversion was underway?? There was work going on inside (the door was open), so I dunno? Figured we would heard about it here first.
Definitely a new boom starting up. How many inner city projects is that in the last 3 months?
Village, Nest, Lacaille, Yellowstone, Imperia, Sovereign, Francesco…. Nothing in Kensington, Bridgeland, or Mission yet though?
I feel like, other than CTB, most sources use 10 floors for office, 12 floors for residential as the standard. But typically just straightup 35 meters (or in the states 100 feet for a lil sneaky cheating 😜)
12 Ave cycle track east of Macleod about to be reopened, they’ve repainted the lines and returned it to one-way traffic. Also a pic of my beautiful girl on the Lindsay Park path 😅
It’s cool that we have at least two others proposed as well. One in Mission and another in Vic Park at 14th and Centre. Neither quite as tall as Nest, but both I believe are 35 meters (lowest limit for “high-rise”).
That layout needs worrrk. The two bedrooms next conjoined next to the porch should be the “primary” room (assuming it’s a living room), and an opening to the kitchen. Then split the current primary to two small bedrooms.
