From what I understand, these courtrooms are primarily for parking / HTA / provincial offences. These are generally not maximum security courtrooms. Criminal charges will continue to be heard at Old City Hall and other locations until the new court behind City Hall is completed.

I don't get the love. There are a few interesting things about the build, but to me the black is monotonous and overbearing. It looks like an industrial complex.

Looks like the last zoning review was closed on July 5, so I think they have all their permits. I emailed Marcheleos to ask what’s going on, but haven’t heard from them. Fingers crossed that construction starts soon and might be done by winter!

Urban Capital seems to be getting less ambitious over time, and I can tell you they’re an organizational disaster. I wouldn’t count on great projects from them going forward, sadly.

Even more annoying to me is the random, “static” arrangement of the panels. It means nothing, conveys nothing; it lacks humanity. Are the architects really so devoid of imagination that they couldn’t use a pattern? Or, if it is some purposeful design, it’s completely unintelligible.

There‘s nothing sketch about this area. It’s King and George in Old Town / St. Lawrence. If anything it’ll be going at a premium.

It’s a good effort with some interest, but I wish they’d given the gold panelling treatment to all the larger inset areas on the street facing side. It would have added so much to the aesthetic.

I’m pretty sure it’s already open and accepting new patients. Great service to have in an area full of animals! I’ll also mention that Canary Dental on Front is great. Once the grocery store and a LCBO (I pray to the liquor gods) go in, every basic service will be within a short walking distance.
