It's really disappointing that the 2nd track through Guelph is nowhere close to being done. The platform as you said is up and ready to go with no track tie in. I was hoping for a weekend service to Kitchener to start by September. But I feel that goal slipping away.

Agreed. Although I'm still salty that uOttawa station was never built underground and in -turn creating a linear park between Nicholas and the university campus. It was in the initially concept but was scrapped early on as a cost saving measure.

Funny how the LPC caucus is very quiet about this. You would think that the Environmental Ministry Steven Guilbeault and Transportation Minister Pablo Rodriguez would champion passenger railway priority.

That's the plan - get a station close to downtown Oshawa. And we keep Metrolinx loves parking so the Knob Hills site is a great location with plenty of space that will hopefully be built up in the coming years.

Really trying to figure out the reasoning behind this - it's a tourist railway that wasn't in the way of anything. Sure I'd love to see regular GO service and hopefully up to Lindsay in the near future. But just leave things how they are. Hopefully the York-Durham Heritage Railway can find a...
