It's great to see this section of Yonge Street fully re-opened again after a year of construction on the water main and sewer replacement.

    Harbourfront Centre

Finally, this dead spot is going to be put to use. https://retail-insider.com/retail-insider/2024/06/restaurant-concept-queens-harbour-to-open-on-torontos-waterfront-exclusive/ Now if only we could get the ice rink back, the bridge fixed, and a decent summertime outdoor hawker market, there...

Eating my previous words on this one. The excessive mullions add some real texture from a distance. Combined with the subtle brown tones, fins, and appealing setbacks, it's far more interesting than its dreary recent neighbours.

Crane raising by another two sections today.

Finally checked out the Food Hall. Pretty underwhelmed. I appreciated the variety of vendors, but the design lacked cohesion, and felt like any other food court. And dear god, please lose the DJ! I love loud music as much as the next person, but not at that volume while eating in a food court...

Great to see that this "wound" in the urban fabric has been bandaged. Let's just hope it doesn't turn into an ulcer.

    Toronto Toronto | Scotiabank Arena Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | BBB

That PATH link is a shit show for anyone with disabilities, or the many hotel and condo residents with suitcases. It screams the obvious need for renovation to everyone... except MLSE it seems...

I don't think those trailers are anything to do with the film studios. More likely the leftovers from this... https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/illegally-parked-mobile-homes-draw-concern-police-response-in-port-lands-1.6218866

It's disappointing that the "white" frit in the glazing shown in the renders has ended up as grey, but I guess it was inevitable. Fortunately, it looks like there's less frit on the upper levels, and hopefully the reflectivity of the glass will compensate for it in the right light.

Quite the view terminus on Bremner now.

I don't think it can be flipped, as I believe it's unitized right up to the top panel.
