Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

I haven't kept up with everything on the Gardiner. But with the Gardiner being uploaded, can Doug Ford still change plans from hybrid option to the other options previous debated on. Or is the hybrid option already set in stone with contracts signed already? If I remember correctly, he wanted to...

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Has the Gardiner and DVP fully been uploaded to the province? Or are we still going through the transition period?

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

Good to know New Flyer is better. They're buses are better looking and a more comfortable ride compared to Nova. This is great information. I heard Nova reps were at the Birchmount garage yesterday too. I assume either lobbying or technical support. As mentioned , Nova is a risk, but didn't...

Highway 401 Transit and Auto Tunnel

I'm pro Highway, and even I found this to be left field. Doug has a better chance of building the Richview Crosstown Highway (which actually parallels the 401), and the Gardiner extension through to Scarborough, than building this tunnel. I'm surprised Doug is proposing this tunnel under the...

Looks like an Interim CEO will be named tomorrow.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Sounds like a lot of UTers. Talking down and not realizing it. Lol I mean he was elected twice as councilor if I remember correctly. So he can't be that bad. I do hear what your saying about some of his weak points. But many times ppl will follow a confident person than a knowledgeable person...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Collie Greenwood literally started from the bottom as a summer student and worked his way up the ranks at TTC. Starting in the1980s and was part of the upper management team with Andy Byford team. And played a very important role in customer service. Really helped Andy Buford execute his goals...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It won't be the best look. But we all know appointments are through connections and affiliations. Look at Josh Colle. I doubt he's qualified for the position he's in now at TTC. Probably got it as some type of returned favor. So if they can bring him in, might as well bring in AG. Personally I...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Is said person Adam Giambrone? He was already rumored to be the next CEO back in October 2023. So we don't have to keep him anonymous. But he might not be available if he's currently working in the middle east. So I would assume someone other than AG? I was kinda hoping it would be a female...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I would assume the current Deputy CEO will.be the interim. He recently.came from YRT. It's been almost a year since they wanted to get rid of Rick Leary. So let's not lie and pretend they're doing a global search for the next CEO. They should know by now who they want. They'll do a song and...

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

I hear what your saying, but what's going to happen when it comes time to replace the 9000s artic's? Either get 40ft equivalent buses, or like mentioned earlier , go right into EV artic's? And if EVs for transit agencies aren't as promising , I don't see why Cummins would give up on the hybrid...

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

I'm sure Cummins is working on something for 2027. It's not the first time they didn't have an engine ready. I'm sure this is temporary. How reliable or confident will TTC be in getting the articulated EV? Either TTC will have to keep the 9000 Nova artic's longer or go back to Diesel artic's...

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

Cummins is already introducing the X10 and hybrid version for EPA 2027. NFI will be testing this out before full rollout. The report speaks to Nova and NFI , yes. But the information I have is way more recent than the report.

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

TTC just got New flyer hybrid artic's within the last year. I would assume, if Nova leaves the hybrid market and no 60ft ebus in sight, then new flyer will be the sole provider. NFI has both ebus articulated and hybrid articulated. Only downfall is, I'm sure New Flyer will milk TTC when the time...

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

The same company that provided us trolley buses are the same company making our current ebuses. Same company will also continue to make diesel and hybrid buses for the foreseeable future . That company is called New flyer, Formally called Flyer. So if Nova wants out if the bus market, Newflyer...

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

New Flyer just delivered the new ebus 6000 to Arrow garage on Friday. Now this will be a real test to see a larger electric bus fleet and how TTC operates them. The current 60 ebuses are barely in service , for a variety of reasons. I believe that alone will be an indication of 400 buses coming...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

9 SRT cars is excessive. Just persevere two or a pair and call it a day. I don't see why two 8000s are being saved, are they really that significant? I would rather a GM in the maroon cream colours than an Orion bus. Is there a bus museum in Canada? I know there's a bunch of rail equipment...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

So who's on the list, if Josh Colle is not on it. And me saying Josh Colle will be the next CEO, I was just kidding.
