Yes between the glass cube at the corner that I can't discern the purpose, the way the brick faces are split instead of wrapping around the entire corner like a normal building, and the chunky silver window frames, it looks 30 years old already.

Lesser recognized buildings in Toronto that you enjoy

Nice piece of Brasilia at The Kingsway: Royal York Gardens Building C Designed by Raymond Mandel in 1965

Nice to see how they will urbanize that parking garage without completely demolishing it.

What are the chances of the lemon and orange bridges actually getting their matching twins? I can’t see how they would be installed.

    Toronto Toronto | EQ Bank Tower | 105.18m | 23s | First Gulf | Sweeny &Co

I’ve noticed a disturbing trend lately of heritage brick facades being painted during larger scale developments. Hopefully it won’t be the case here.

Photos really don't do this justice, it needs to be seen in person. The curved glass is stunning.

The Bathurst bridge was painted black, but that was its original colour. Are there any examples where they changed it?

It’s always been green so they’ll probably just restore that colour

The river creates a really nice framing for the Hearn. Gives it so much more prominence. I hope one day it will be reinvigorated like the Battersea Power Station.

I wish the front street entrance also had exposed wood columns like on the opposite side.

We got an opportunity with the Hearn

Nice continuation of the street wall. And great to see a facade given more depth after design updates instead of being flattened like usual.

I much prefer solid metal panels to back-painted glass.

Putting wharfs in that location was the mistake in the first place, particularly cutting off a major river and contributing to flooding.

I’d prefer if they keep it Old Cherry to show how the area evolved over time, how they were able to repair a past urban planning mistake.

I like those dyed concrete panels, it's different.

Hopefully this sets the standard for all the future developments across Queen’s Quay and the Port Lands.

    Toronto Toronto | Artists' Alley | 121.91m | 39s | Lanterra | Hariri Pontarini

    Love this development. So urbanistic.

Hopefully they preserve the Victorian house when that area gets redeveloped to help maintain the street wall. And reconstruct the demolished middle portion.
