September 27, 2023 Excavation continues (and getting quite deep, especially at the north-west end). Picture taken minutes ago:

Another thing to note is that on Friday evening, the city removed the parking fare/ticket machine from that area. I thought this would be a sign the area would be blocked off, but nothing yet.

August 10, 2023 Excavation began on Tuesday (August 8) and expected to last several weeks. p.s. unless mentioned otherwise, all pictures posted were taken minutes before posting.

It's been a little while since anything has been posted, so I will share some pictures taken just now (July 20, 2023). The developer site was just updated. Drilling of piles are happening on the south wall and Excavation will begin next week.

Quick update on this first day of summer.. No pictures, but shoring continues on the south and east end of the site. They seem to be sticking to their schedule, which is good. They are once again getting real close to the utility boxes which haven't been moved yet. I'm hoping they give us...

June 6, 2023 I haven't posted in a while since the site hasn't changed much. Lately, trenches have been dug on Merton to run new pipes.. It doesn't help with the traffic in the area.

April 28, 2023 Shoring progressing, clockwise, working on East side now. It's 4:20 and foreman must have been in hurry to start weekend and locked one of their workers inside. Watching him trying to break open the gate... Sad.

I reported this to 311 earlier (as well as the removal of the one way sign for the laneway). While the city fixed the one way sign, they never replaced the parking zone sign. Plus each time the pylons are placed around the entrance, the Tamasha night club patrons move them back to the sidewalk...

Noticed that they seem to be bring in new soil or gravel and levelling the site. This doesn’t sound right when they should be digging. Could there be a change of plans (short term) and they are prepping for a parking lot now? The developer site was updated for January, but makes no mention of...

Not sure if the shoring application is approved or not, but an Orin Shoring truck pulled up today (along with Enbridge)

Orin has wrapped up their demolition yesterday. All is quiet now and they are ready to leave. Next step will be the actual construction. That can get really noisy as well, especially in the early stages when they hammer in the steel poles…
