So the next set of hangers are attached at this level, I guess? 📷: @thaivic

On a related note, has phase 2 demo started? Looks like that might be a pile of debris being shoved out here. 📷: @AlbertC

This is by far the best the pattern has photographed. It’s growing on me!

I know one of Nobu‘s main backers (De Niro) was having money troubles a while ago. Could the value engineering be a course correction? It would be irresponsible not to speculate. 😀 “Krauss [De Niro’s lawyer] said that De Niro's restaurant and hotel chain, Nobu and The Greenwich Hotel, have made...

I’m sure it’ll brighten up once they get all that dark grey precast installed.

I notice that a lot of the rebar sticking up from this last set of walls is ‘hooked’ rather than sticking straight up, like on previous floors. Does that possibly indicate a change of structure for the next floor? I often see rebar finished like that when it won‘t carry on to the next level. 📷...

I’d say it’s because some of the renderings — like this one from their website — are playing fast and loose with the truth. 📷: www.onebloorwest.com

Not exactly inviting at street level.

I apologize unreservedly for failing to notice and appropriately acknowledge your insight from a previous page. Community members, kindly note that all of the credit for this observation about the slab and columns belongs to @justathought, and ensure he receives the appropriate accolades.

The slab is being poured around rather than on top of the columns? That’s unexpected! 📷: @dodgeram

Those look like they might be the platforms that go around the last two columns.

Finally, I think the pattern is starting to make sense. Until now, I’ve been watching for something to emerge from the white, but it’s becoming more obvious that the actual pattern (if we can call it that) is the dark colour, and white is more like negative space. 📷: @kris

I think this photo from September 2020 shows workers attaching two sections by passing bolts through the top plate of one section and the bottom plate of the other. 📷: @skycandy

Wait… they’re already pouring columns one day after pouring the slab?! Apple should have taken them to court three years ago. 😀 📷: @Benito

Hmmm… now I’m super curious to know what’s happening with the elevator shafts. They didn’t form the walls but now they forming a slab on top? 🤔 📷 @thaivic

A lot of the brackets on the columns where the hangers will be attached are still covered by the column forms. I’m guessing they need to wait until they can raise the forms up to the next level and expose those brackets.
